[LFG] Returning Player D&D 3.5 -Flexible to other systems

Game: D&D 3.5e, GURPS, L5R 3rd Edition Style Prefered: PBP, Voice, or Text Experience: Played the above several years Timezone: CDT Availability: Monday-Friday evenings and Weekends Preferred role: Player Game style: Long term campaign, mix of roleplay and combat (fine with a given session only being one or the other) Additional Information: Looking to get back into RPG, last played about a decade ago.  At the time my main RPG was D&D 3.5E but I had some GURPS, L5R and d20 campaigns as well.  I am open to learning new systems as well if the setting is interesting.  I enjoy fantasy style campaigns but also like sci-fi settings (Star Wars was one of the ones I played on the side and I have seen several interesting sci-fi RPG settings recently).  I do enjoy feeling like I am part of a bigger world and not that the PCs drive everything.  I do not have D&D 5E books but doing a quick check it does seem similar enough to 3.5E that I could pick it up.

It is free, We are every other Sunday 12pm - 6pm MDT  I partner with another GM who runs the opposite weekends, he may want more too so opportunity to join a game Every Sunday 12-6pm but we are requiring a commitment, we are a long standing group of players. I just finished an all homebrew 3.5 version of Game of Thrones that lasted over a year and a half. Now we are moving on to Tales of the Yawning Portal I will loosely use those modules to develop my own story-line. We have been together for over 5 yrs together.
