Apologies if this is the wrong thread topic or something, I'm unaccustomed to the Forum side of Roll20. To start, I would like to state that I appreciate there being a well-presented, simple but still thematically-appropriate character sheet for Dark Heresy 1st Edition - It's certainly more than I could manage to create. I'm glad some people care about the system enough that it's still getting patches and updates, despite the work and effort required, despite Dark Heresy being essentially an abandoned/defunct game system. I'm glad that there's been notable efforts to streamline an otherwise bulky and complex RPG, one that is rather tricky to pick up, thus minimising GM workload. All this being said, the most recent update (Initiated today, I think?) has certain issues when it comes to Ranged Weapons: Firstly, the RoF (Rate of Fire) doesn't recognise S (Single Shot) and - (Not applicable) as values despite them being how the source material itself writes them. This wouldn't be a problem if it swapped S for 1 and - for 0, but it simply leaves a blank space, which means a gun which shoots a single shot and a gun which can only fire on semi or full automatic look much the same, and will require looking into the source material to figure out. Secondly, and more prominently, the Range has been altered from the single value depicted in the source material to five values, for Point Blank, Near, Medium, etc. This would/will be incredibly useful, except that in completely removing the original Range value, the information already recorded there previously has been lost. This means that I will have to go through every Player and NPC sheet in my library, cross-referencing them with the source material, manually re-adding these values, and re-estimating the Ranges of any homebrewed weapons. Of course, I'm not asking for some miracle fix, or to restart the Character Sheet to a previous version, since this is clearly an improvement on the previous version. I'm only asking that, in future, for information boxes to be moved/rearranged, rather than outright deleted or modified to only accept numbers, so that I won't have to fix issues like this in a future patch. I appreciate that the multiple ranges will save on mid-combat maths, I just would've preferred the original Range box be placed in the middle, alongside them. Thank you for your time, and for allowing us GMs to run some grim darkness. Edit: On further inspection, it is possible that I'm mistaken, and that Range is in fact retained, only erased if 'm' is at the end of the number. However, the various rulebooks of Dark Heresy note weapon range in this manner, so if this is the case, it's still a bit of a problem.
