Hello! Thank you for poking your head into this thread and taking the time to read through what is bound to be a wall of text :D About Myself: I'm a 27 year old, female from England and I've had roughly a year of learning and playing D&D 5e. I've always been an avid writer, roleplayer and have wanted to act professionally for the longest time. I pride myself on being able to write a convincing and interesting character, and love getting into their head space, developing them and also seeing what other players come up with in terms of their own characters, or what the DM brings to the table in terms of story and NPCs. I've been writing for around 15 years in multiple places, though now mostly on a forum and in the style of collaborative story-telling, where posts go back and forth between myself and another writers (or a small group of writers) in which we develop our own characters, the relationship between them and the worlds they reside in. I enjoy playing video games and streaming when I can, and I already play in a couple of D&D games on Sundays (every two weeks) and I'm waiting to start a second campaign on Friday evenings (every week.) I swear like a sailor and I'm not gonna change that :p So if this doesn't agree with you, we won't work together, I'm sorry! My goal is to hopefully find another campaign for myself to play in long-term and meet new, like minded people and build friendships along the way!   What I Seek: • System:  D&D 5e (Homebrew World/Campaign & Long-Term) • Where:  Discord for voice &  camera  (Cam is an absolute must for me - It makes things easier to see when people are trying to talk, when people do physical RP and it gives more of an authentic tabletop feel!) & Roll20 (I would be open for another platform though I have no experience with anything else.) I also use D&D Beyond for character sheets as I own all the source books. (If a DM has a subscription to share a campaign with everyone, this is a bonus! But not a must.) • Timezone:  England (BST) - Campaign & Players do not have to be the same timezone as myself. • Availability:  Ideally a day or evening in the week (Mon - Thurs or Sat). Either bi-weekly or weekly. • Style:  Very RP heavy player who absolutely loves character interactions and development, with a good understanding of mechanics and rules. • Game Style Ideal:  A rich, homebrew world of deep lore and intrigue, with a narrative driven DM and like-minded players. A DM who is willing to incorporate character backstories and lore into their fleshed out world. With a focus on story-telling, meaningful combat & loot, PC character arcs that feel authentic, detailed description, and well thought out characters (NPCs and such.) That said, I still enjoy combat and puzzles etc, I just like it to feel natural and for it to have a reason. I'm also open to romance either with NPCs or other PCs, so long as everyone is comfortable with it, but again, it needs to feel natural and be something built up over time (and it will never be overly played out, or go into too much detail.) • Character Style:  I honestly have a ton of character ideas at any one time :p I'm currently playing a Life Cleric & am working on a Circle of Spores Druid. I tend to lean toward casters, and enjoy playing healers/supports (though I'm pretty much open to playing any class so long as I can create a good story/character!) I lean toward races other than human or dwarf, but am open so long as it fits my character concept. I tend to build characters from a concept perspective first, having a small idea of their story and/or personality, before matching them with a cool class and race. (I will only use official or UA races or classes, and prefer homebrew is kept at a minimum in this regard.) Then I flesh them out much further from there. I send my DMs a backstory document and an appearance document with inspirational images/descriptive's included, and can willingly provide them from an already existing character if you'd like an idea of what sort of character I build and how, before letting me into your game. (That being said, I will obviously create something completely new and unique for our game, should that happen.) • Deterrents:  Combat for the sake of combat (murder-hobo-ness), loot for the sake of loot/greed, dungeon delving with no purpose or reason, things happening for no reason, no plot-hooks, antagonistic PCs for no reason. • Character/Game Inspirations:  Critical Role, Game of Thrones, The Witcher (TV series), Dragon Age. • Rolling:  In terms of rolling dice, I would ideally like to roll my own as I have quite a collection (and nothing beats rolling dice in person, haha.) I understand this can be looked upon unfavourably, but I would like to think I'm honest and heck, the point of the game is to roll with the lows and highs, so I can never understand why anyone would willingly lie about their roll. This is also another reason cam is a big deal for me, as you can see my reactions to certain rolls. I simply don't want to use a bot roller of any kind, hopefully that's understandable c: • Group Ages:  As I mentioned, I'm 27 years old, so Ideally I would like a group in the range of my age. Definitely 18+, though ideally from early 20s to 40s.   Thank you again for reading. I know its a lot of information! If this catches your attention, please don't hesitate to reach out to me and we can continue the conversation either here or elsewhere. I'm not going to be snapping up the first invite I get as I really want to make sure the game is suitable for me (and I for it), and to make sure I get along with the DM and eventually the other players as well c: Take care, Steph / Peachy
