I have a group of five 30-ish year old friends that are interested in starting D&D 5e, but we are all new to this. My friends and I are looking to do a one-shot mini-campaign, or a mini part of a longer campaign - just something approachable for a first time. We would like to do some character creation, player intros, and a little questing, whatever makes the most sense. I realize the character creation takes time, so if it's better, we can have our characters pre-created, and if the DM wouldn't mind auditing our Lvl 1 characters, that would be awesome! We're looking for someone fun with a good sense of humor who can guide some D&D noobs into the game and give us some experience with the game. This will likely be just a one-time thing, though with the number of people in my entire group that want to play later down the line, we may be looking for a DM on some continuing basis, if there's interest on your part! As far as pay, we're flexible and definitely willing to pay for a good experience - whatever a fair going rate for a starter session (4 hours? whatever you suggest) is good with us. I'm not 100% certain about the "Paid GMing" best practices, so really open to your thoughts. We're hoping to shoot for an early-ish start on Saturday (07/18) night/afternoon, probably around around 4pm PST (7 EST), but we're flexible!
