Stone of Good Luck

I came across this and found a bunch of different potential fixes then found a really easy fix. In the MOD field for the item change it to add Ability Checks +1. Basically it ends up like this: Item Type: Adventuring Gear, Saving Throws +1, Ability Checks +1 This adds a global modifier that adds it to skills, passives, and initiative. It doesn't seem to add it anywhere else so if there is an ability check that should get it then you will still have to add it manually there. Don't know if this can be changed on the compendium to include this edit? https://roll20.net/compendium/dnd5e/Stone of Good Luck

Huh, I never even tried that. I assumed it wouldn't work, otherwise they would have entered it properly. Nice one! If only we had an Ability Check global mod field instead of the silly Skills global mod field, the item would actually work as designed!

Not a stone! A "Lucky coin"! It works exactly the same as as the stone. But it can be easily lost or overlooked, in amongst the other coins being recovered.
The lucky stone bit works out well for me. I have a sentient sword in my campaign that is obsessed with finding all the stones. So this adds to my collection. If anything it might get lost there given it's nondescript nature.
Kitty, I'm totally going to steal the idea for a "Lucky Copper Piece"! Who checks coins for magic? It's brilliant! Copper pieces are always the first to go!
