Pathfinder 2e - The Slithering

My friends and I are approaching the conclusion of Fall of Plaguestone and are trying to figure out our options for continuing to play Pathfinder 2e on Roll20. My understanding from reviewing old threads is that we can expect part I of the Agents of Edgewatch AP on or around Paizo's July 30 release date. Paizo are also releasing The Slithering , a module for levels 5-8, on July 30. Do we have any word on whether that will be coming to Roll20, either on the release date or at a later time?

Nope, nothing as of yet, if it is then the Roll20 Twitch Q & A show Wednesday might give us a hint or someone can ask/post a question there. I work then so only see it the next day myself Tom
Yea that would be great...but I do not think roll20 is going to bring all the Paizo content to the platform.Hopefully "The Slithering" is one of them that is being added.
Ya I am betting not til they see how much it takes to keep up with the monthly AP modules, if they get it down and have extra time, then they might. But as many expect they are also working on the APG which also drops GENCON Online day so if we get those two then not much room for anything else, but who knows, could be shocked and they pull off a 3 releases in 1 day, but very doubtfull. Very curious to see the next quarter stats as to activity and any growth in PFII, if so we are more likely to get stuff sooner rather than later or not at all, LOL Tom
PS Jonathan If nothing comes up I have the first 3 modules of Age of Ashes pretty much set up so I could GM ya and you could try running that if all else fails, just have to have the books or PDF;s is all. I've run 3 groups through mod 1, 1 st group is now in mod 2, 2nd group switched to Extingtion Curse after that, third one broke up as scheduling issues can up for over half of that group, then I am a player in another group and we are in the middle of module 3 right now. :) Tom
Thanks guys for the answers. Disappointing but understandable. My players are pretty keen to keep their characters, so I was hoping for something geared towards lvl 1 PCs. Really appreciate the offer on Age of Ashes, but it probably isn't the best option for that reason. (Plus, although I only bought the first book, if it came to starting a new AP, some of the reviews of later AoA books leave me wary -- I'm hopeful Edgewatch will turn out better.) I guess it's wait-and-see for now. If we don't get it from Roll20 and The Slithering turns out well as a module (fingers crossed), I may just need to see how much work it will take to prep it myself. I already do that for a Call of Cthulhu game I run, so I was hoping to be lazy, but the path of the GM is never easy... Thanks again

Well just got done watching their twitch stream and almost gave up hope. One question (almost) was asked, "will the Core Rule book for PF II will ever be free", Reply was no as it links to other things one can buy. THEN . the last question "will The Slithering from PF II be released on Roll20 July 30th. The reply was yes but I'd take that with a grain of salt as from my understanding, only PF II Adventure Path Module AP's will be released on their street date. The Slithering is a one off PF II module, not a part of an AP. NOTHING mentioned about the advanced Players Guide, Charactormancer, Drag and drop, or anything else........... Really wish we could get some Roll20 people who play and know about all the Pf II related stuff on these shows, but for the most part they had their big push for their Burn Bright system in this Twitch episode. So I guess we will see what happens on July 30th, 7 days from now. I think we really need Roll20 be be more forthcoming on upcoming products compared to what we have now, say a thread where they post, "we expect (but don't hold us to it) that X should be available on such and such a date if all things go to plan. Also ZERO Starfinder questions and chat, not good!! Tom
The Roundtable clearly said APG, Slithering, and Agents of Edgewatch book 1 would be available July 30th. I trust roll20, but you'll have to wait and see, honestly.
HMM, from the latest twitch, I'll have to rewatch it but from yesterday's Slithering question. her reply was, what was that , an AP or a Society thing, and director said , BUT I checked the chat and it did say " yep! we should be day and date for the PF2 stuff (APG, Slithering, Agents of Edgewatch)" by Mod Winged Lioness. I never check the chat as I listen to Soraya and Kenton, and her reply in voice was more like "PFII Adventure Paths come out day and date" in reply to Slithering. So you might see my confusion me thinks, or so I hope :) For us PF II ers this is thee biggest release date of the whole year so we are all pretty pumped up on The Advanced Players Guide HUGE as everyone is waiting to get beyond the Core Rule Book basics Agents of Edgewater Module 1 First AP that fully uses the rules, unlike Age of Ashes and Extingtion Curse who had none or little as they were worked on before the Core Rule Book even came out!@!! The Slithering Module , continuing with the same character from The Fall of Plaguestone The Slithering flip Map, yep gotta have that as well, LOL Starfinder Starship Operations Manual The Threefold Conspiracy module 6 Cheers I still suggest a concrete thread for Pathfinder 2nd edition and Starfinder and D & D 5th , where the Roll20 team can post updates where everyone can see and read, lock it if one has to. And for other news and systems one can have that as well. Or simply have a segement every Twitch chat month, 10 minutes on 5th, 10 on PF II, Starfinder what have you 10 on other systems and 10 on tech stuff coming up on Roll20. And one can also go long or short depending on a lot or a little news, compared to just chat from the live viewers and pre submitted questions. Seems pretty basic to me and way less wondering on what is actually on the release docket, so to speak LOL Thanks for the heads up and checking the chat and not just what she said Ryan Tom
So I watched the stream also but not sure they knew what was being asked. Actually the lady (sorry I forgot her name) seemed a little irritated by the question. She was short and quick and gave the canned answer. It also seems strange that there where no pre-orders were out there for the Advanced Players Guide. Other books have been out there months. I would love to see more games supported and more coomunicate but not sure that will happen. It appears they have gone all in on D&D and everything else will be partially supported.

You should really be less upset about 5E's importance here. https://blog.roll20.net/post/190665086865/the-orr-group-industry-report-q4-2019-a In Feb of this year it accounted for over half of their played games. While Pathfinder 2E was less than 2% For a system getting less than 2% we sure have seen a lot of content. Core Rulebook, Bestiary, Fall of Plaguestone, Gamemastery Guide, Bestiary 2, Extinction Curse entire AP. We have Advanced Player's Guide, The Slithering, and Agents of Edgewatch releasing July 30th. In fact the only Pathfinder 2e content not released is the Omen's Line which is mostly Fluff (Lore) and the first Adventure Path Age of Ashes. Which I assume on the latter they will attempt to release if they end up caught up from COVID-19. Also unlike any other VTT Roll20 is completely hosted online for players. All other VTT's to my knowledge base rely on hosting on your own pc with connections needed.

As I try to figure out where to play PF2 a lot of people seem to be on Fantasy Grounds (amazing support) or even Foundry VTT (really open platform). I am sure there are others

Yep, D & D 5th is and has been king almost since it came out, I've played and GMed it and just not for me as I'm an AP GM/Player and those they have mostly leave a lot to be desired in my humble opinion, and that system is so basic....... Options way limited even after all these years, but all the new blood it brang into our hoobe is very nice to see. Last quarters 2% will get better, and remember it had the most :activity" as well of all the systems. We had Paizon Online and we have an AP to play and shortly 2, and the APG should be a huge thing as we get a lot more options so can pics a lot more interesting things like PF I. Bottom line is that a LOT more players and GM's of Paizo systems need to POST and have their voices heard a LOT more, and as more content comes out Roll20 should see a sales increase (hopefully) and they will continue to put more work hours in to bring us more. But for all the 6+ million members don't usually post up so....... I also suspectif we ever get PF II and Starfinder Society games to buy and run one might see a lot more than the 2%. But as someone pointed out to me before, if a player or GM have their prefs and that sustm sheet in a game and in their profile they are only counted ONCE> So multiple game won't matter. But that happens to all the systems so it kind of evens out for 5th Ed as well and they have their scenarios they can buy here and we just have the two free onces , 1 for PF II and one for Starfinder, and they are pretty much last on the sales list at this time Just some random thoughts here on our systems of choice and how to go about getting more stuff out on Roll20 for us :) Tom
Hey all! I’m sorry that there was some confusion about this. Yes, the Slithering (along with the first part of Agents of Edgewatch AND the APG) will be releasing day & date with Paizo. We recently brought on a lot more people for Production team as well. One of the priorities is to be day & date for upcoming Pathfinder Second Edition releases. Definitely continue to let us know your interest in past releases that haven’t come out yet, or things coming up. Knowing there’s folks out there that want these things never hurts ;)
Thanks Bunny!! Tom
Thanks Bunny, Really the only Lost Omen book I can see that has value for say the charactermancer is Character Guide, but for future items I really hope the plan is to release the new Beginner box content coming in Nov!!!!
Happy just to have picked up the APG and The Slithering. Well done to Roll20 on this one. If it is cost-effective to bring [at least some of] the Pathfinder Society scenarios to Roll20, I also would be interested in those. The new season from Paizo starts next month.
YAY! Just picked up prepping for the game! Nice thank you! Got the APG also :)
