Concern about Fate Condense Stress?

I'm running a Fantasy Zombie Apocalypse campaign soon and I decided to make the leap and use the Fate Condense version of handling stress.   Does anyone here have any experience with it? Does the lower amount of total stress make characters too fragile, or does the ability to decide how much stress you can take balance it out?      The campaign my players will be in will have horror and tension, and thus lower occurrence of stress being healed between encounters and obstacles.
It balances out normally, but it might make things more difficult if the tracks clear less often resulting in more consequences. Which you want in horror, so I'd do it.
You get the same amount of Stress boxes. Starting characters have 3 (on each track) worth 1 each, which works out the same as a Fate Core core character's 1, 2. The progression with levels in Physique and Will goes the same way too, with the first bump awarding 1, 1, 1 in FCon or a single 3 box in FCore. A Fate Condensed character can potentially take more small hits than a Fate Core character before going to Consequences. A FCon character can also absorb a single big hit more readily because they can mark as many boxes as needed. A FCore character that takes a bit for 4 or more is going to mark a Consequence.

Doesn't a FCore Character potentially have a maximum of 10 stress (1+2+3+4) while a FCon Character only has a maximum of 6 (1+1+1+1+1+1)?
Yup. If you think that's a problem, change it. It's your game. How about this: try it by the book first, and don't hold back. Get some proper feedback from your players. If they really feel like they have no chance without all those stress boxes, make an adjustment.
Yeah, that sounds like the best solution.
In addition; does anyone have any how Fate Core Stunts that add an additional 2 stress-boxes would be balanced for Fate Condensed? Keep it the same? Make it 3 stress-boxes?
