I have been working for the past few days, intricately crafting some things for my new companions. I had never really felt something was missing, but since leaving my family and denouncing my birthright and joining House Kundarak , I thought I had found my place. I found myself frequently thinking of home, of my father, and Clan Soldorak . I know they are leading my people to their own demise, as they corrupt themselves with the tools of the Daelkyr . I know they claim to be using these against their enemies, but such objects are cursed. I knew I couldn't stay. I had thought House Kundarak would become a new family, and although I have made friends, I have realized that is it basically a job. I'm not from the noble birth scions and I will have no chance of truly advancing in the house, but it has served as a home for me, and Sharn has allowed me to conduct some research, when I'm not working anyway. Recently though, having encountered a group of ambitious individuals, I found myself more aligned with these people. They are exciting, living their lives and standing by their principles. These people have become closer to me than anyone in House Kundarak has over the past 20 years. I was planning on showing my appreciation for everyone in the morning, but that did not go as planned. We were awoken early in the morning by House Kundarak staff claiming their airship was hijacked. They had planned to remove and destroy the poisonous weapons discovered under the factory, but the Emeralt Claw agents got to them first. The airship was a controlled by undead, including some sort of intelligent skeleton. I know Karnnath had used undead, but I had no idea they were so intelligent. This one proved very difficult to kill. As we traveled over the Kings Forest, a fortress below began some sort of powerful disruption magic causing the ships to crash. Luckily, a soft impact in the trees kept us mostly out of harms way. Not really knowing where we were, we began to seek out the fortress that caused our crash. On route to that, we were ambushed by some very large cat like creatures who thought we would be their next meal. Luckily for us, my companions and I were more than a match, despite putting nearly half of us to sleep instantly. We rested for the evening, which gave me the opportunity to speak to Sonn. I never properly thanked him for saving my life, and I gave him the status of Onotar that I has sculpted. He seemed genuinely appreciative. We arrived at the base of the fortress and began looking around, until this walking tree came for us...
