Add magic item-sourced spells to character sheets for non-casters

Hi!  I'm using the standard D&D 5e character sheet.  Wondering how to enable spell drag & drop for a Monk character, who normally wouldn't have any spell slots.  The monk has a custom magic item which allows Light, Dancing Lights, and Lightning Bolt to be cast, plus a custom spell which I'll have to input manually.   I see that I can enable spell slots by adjusting the Magic Caster Level setting in the Gear tab of the character sheet, but the drag & drop still doesn't seem to work.  I'm thinking there must be a way....  What am I missing?

You shouldn't need to do anything to the spell slots or other stats. If you go to the Spells tab ( not the Attacks & Spellcasting section in the Core tab) and drag a spell from the Compendium it should just work. As far as I know you can't even disable the Spells drag & drop functionality on a sheet, only the Core sections - inventory, traits etc.

As Oosh says, spell drag and drop should always work, any character might need it for a spell from a magic item. Make sure your sheet is not popped out into its own window. That will prevent any drag and drop behavior.
