Hello all, I've been playing D&D for about 6 months in total, around a dozen sessions or so. I'd always been interested in playing, but didn't know anyone who'd give me the push to get into it. Then one day one of my co-workers invited me to a join a campaign he was DM'ing. Awesome! He was a writing major, so all of his storylines and plots were very well-planned and carefully thought out. Everything was great... until the group fell apart, one by one. First our Cleric kept making excuses why he couldn't make it every single session; Then our Barbarian started working overnights and no longer had time; then the Wizard moved away and didn't wanna play via roll20 or discord. now the DM and i are working separate jobs and we haven't talked in months. i've been dying to play ever since Covid hit, but my old group is all i know. i'm open to paid sessions, as long as they're worth the money. I don't metagame, I don't min-max my builds, but I do sometimes play mechanically ineffective builds if i like the flavor of them (Goliath Bard, for instance). I'm still learning to roleplay, but i do enjoy it when the occasion arises and i always make an attempt. I don't go out of my way to cause the party grief, nor do I enjoy when other PC's do it.
