Memory Issues When Playing In Game

Hey, whenever Im playing in a game on r20 my PC keeps BSOD-ing with memory related stop codes. Im using Firefox to run the r20 games, I haven't tried Chrome. However, I don't get BSODs when Im doing anything else on my PC which is why I think its something to do with r20. Any suggestions? This is really annoying cause everytime Im trying to play in a game I keep BSOD-ing.

Firefox seems to go nuts in Roll20 when you have autofill turned on for entry fields.  You might check and see if that is turned on, and try turning it off if it is.

Like automatically filling in my username and password before I even open a game?

It doesn't seem to affect everyone equally, but it is an issue that comes around periodically.  Here is a link to a Roll20 post with that as a troubleshooting step:  https://app.roll20.net/forum/permalink/7413597/

Edit: Basically, for some people, Firefox seems to be treating character sheets as forms it should be trying to fill in.  Disabling that behavior might solve the problem.

That link isn't working for me for some reason. Do I need to disable it entirely or can I disable it for r20 specifically? Or is that gonna be a trial and error kinda thing?

Oh, I didn't pay attention that it was in the Pro subforum.  This is the post copied in:

Can you verify that you have followed our guide to Solving Technical Issues?

Additionally, if enabled, can you try disabling the text autofill feature on Firefox? Remember to restart your browser afterwards.

You can also try looking at your task manager to see if Firefox or any other programs are severely using up your computer's resources.

Turning off Autofill in Firefox
  1. Click on the Firefox menu icon. (Three lines at top right of screen.)
  2. Click on Preferences.
  3. Choose the Privacy.
  4. In the History section choose Firefox will: 'Use custom settings for history.'
  5. Uncheck 'Remember search and form history.'
  6. Click OK.

If none of the above succeeds, please thoroughly work through Step 4. (Don't forget the complete Console Log!)

Thanks!

Alright, thank you! I'll try this
