Hello all. I am 33 old guy living in the middle east. my timezone is Arabic Standard Time which is UTC+3. I have been a long time fan of TTRPG. I bought all the 5E core books from the time of their release and I'm happy to say that it's NOT Critical Role that brought me to it even though I like them a lot. However trying to convince others to play with me offline has been tough. The only people I could convince are my immediate family but once we start something it always fades due to lack of interest/enthusiasm on their part. Of course I was always the DM because there was no way in hell that they would do it. Most of our session is basically me telling them what they should do and what dice to roll. And I have been "trying" for years now but they never seem to progress beyond casual/noob level. the latest attempt was here on roll20 with the same results as usual. So i have decided that instead of trying to convince others to like these games , I will try to build up my own experience as a player. I consider myself a beginner because I never played a long term game with more experienced enthusiastic players. My time zone will be different from most on here but I'm willing to play mostly on Fri/Sat/Sun. I prefer a DM or a group that uses Zoom because discord voice sucks in my area. Also English is my second language so there might be a slight language barrier but not so much that I can't play. I have played a couple of sessions with westerners before and they seemed to understand me well enough.
