Skywise - Ullek H. Game Summary for Saturday (07/25/2020): Opening Scene: Day 13: May 17th;
4:30 pm After breaking through a stained glass window into a frigidly
cold chapel area and meeting the owner of the manor, Lord Taris Havenfall, now
a revenant, then fleeing back out through the window, the party decides to try
entering through the front door. The double doors are made of a thick oak, that have now been
splinted by damage. Each of the doors barely clings to the hinges which they
were originally connected to. Trying to peer between the shattered doors just
reveals darkness beyond them. When Roqar opens the doors they creak loudly enough for anyone
inside to hear, thus alerting of their presence. Roqar still cannot see in the
darkness so it possible it is magical in nature. At first a Light spell is cast unto the floor Illuminating the
first 40 feet radius of the room. Xar’Tharkas says, “Whoa…this place is big, what’s the plan?” Roqar says, “It’s damn cold in here and my nips are hard, we
need to find a ghost., Travok, how about you cast that Light on my lantern?” Then Travok casts a light spell onto a hooded lantern’s wick, so
that they can move around with a light. The magical nature of the light seemly
countering the possible magical darkness. Willie says, “Does anyone have a dispel magic?”, but no one
knows that spell. Roqar says, “We need to find a way to light things up and find
out about the ghost, before we get frostbite in this damn cold.” Room description: This
large room is massive. Several large tables, now broken, lie scattered about.
Pieces of armor and broken weapons line the floor. There are noticeably, three
suits of armor on the western wall, northern wall, and eastern wall, all of
which seem undamaged. There are broken paintings along the floor and tossed in
the middle of the room. It appears that some fighting may have taken place here
on top of the destruction this room suffered from the dragon’s attack. A deep
crack splits the roof where portions are open to the night sky. The floor also
has a similar crack along the floor. Xar’Tharkas
says, “This place is a dump, reminds me of home.”, he spots a couple pieces of
parchment on the floor, pointing with his weapon. They
are picked up and read: Uktar
12 Being
away from my family is growing increasingly more difficult. The days away from
my loving wife and the laughing of my new, grown children is like a deep void
for which there is no cure other than being at their side. I
know that my duty to the Order is one I must obey, but the days of being eager
for a fight are long behind me. Now the only fights I wish to have are with my
wife and children to see who will tend to the garden and do the chores around
the house. Flamerule
7, Perhaps
it was destiny that we never found you when I was with the Order … Because you
have turned me into this … thing … and tonight, after months of tracking you
down … I have found you … and I have put you down. I know somewhere there is a
nest with your young … if I can find it … I will destroy them as well. I
bathe in your blood; it showers my vengeance and fuels my thirst to destroy. For
now, I return home … to see my wife … my children; but where did you take her? Roqar
says, “Looks like we need to find his wife.” Pointing
to the unscathed armor, Xar’Tharkas says, “That’s suspicious, no?” Roqar,
moves over to one of the suits of armr, Xar’Tharkas following. When Roqar gets
within 5 feet of the suit it becomes animated and attacks! Initiative
rolls are made and Round #01 of Combat begins: Hovac
the giant badger, moves up closer to the fight. Prayn
casts an Eldritch Blast cantrip at Animated Armor #01, but it is dodged! Eimong,
swings his fists (unarmed strike) at Animated Armor #01 but missed! Travok,
stays back from the fight for now. Roqar,
swings her short sword at Animated Armor #01 but missed! Willie,
casts the Hunter’s Mark spell upon the Animated Armor #01, marking it as his
quarry. This will deal an extra 1d6 damage whenever Willie hits with his
weapon. Willie also has advantage on Wisdom checks to find his quarry. Willie,
then fires his long bow, but the arrow missed the Animated Armor #01!
Sildar
Hallwinter, swings his long sword but missed the Animated Armor #01!
