Rising a little later in the morning, finally well-rested after a hard day of battling the day before, the Adventurers head down for some breakfast. As they are eating the female lyre player from the night before enters and heads toward Jett with a male Tiefling in tow. She introduces the Tiefling to Jett, who informs that his name is Tados Halberg, a Bard from the Dynasty who has been in the Empire for a little time. After a discussion and exchange of information about what is happening in the Empire - not much additional information from the rumours that the lyre player had already told Jett - Tados asks to join the party and learn what he can to make a song about it. The Adventurers willingly accept him before they all head out into the town to complete some tasks for the day. Jett, Tados, and Leonithas head straight for the Apothecary to purchase some health potions, while Bardryn and Naivara head to the Blacksmith to but some "pointy things". Leonithas asks the old Gnome if she has holy water where he is told to check the Temple. After purchasing the health potions, they part ways with Jett and Tados heading to the Blacksmith, while Leonithas the heads to the Temple in the hopes of obtaining some holy water. Bardryn and Naivara are greeted warmly by Robhernt Reng, the Blacksmith, a human male with ruddy skin from the heat of the furnace and long, dark wavy hair that is tied back behind his head. He shows them his weapons but, unfortunately they are beyond Bardryn's financial means. Bardryn then looks at the amour but also cannot afford them at the moment. Reng, not wanting to see the Dwarf go empty handed, shows her to the shields where she picks up a long, rectangular shield of wood, braced with iron.  While Bardryn is practicing some lunges and defences with the shield, and while Naivara is looking at the armour, Jett and Tados arrive. Jett tells Naivara he has some leather armour for her so she ultimately decides not to buy anything; however, Tados walks away with some well-made large daggers with intricate handles. As the others are at the Blacksmith, Leonithas arrives at the Temple and immediately seeks out a priest where he asks for holy water. The Priest asks which deity Leonithas serves and is informed that he serves Eos, the God of Life and Death and was, in fact, visited by Eos the night before. This instantly impresses the Priest who leads Leonithas to a well with a bucket beside it, situated further into the Temple. Leonithas is told to lower the bucket into the well and what comes out is what the Gods desire him to have - for a kind donation, of course. Rolling an 8 on a D8, Leonithas earns the greatest respect and admiration from the Priest as he pulls up a full bucket of water. The Priest, wide-eyed and in awe, tells Leonithas that his name will be shared throughout the Temples as one blessed indeed by the Gods and whenever he requires it the Temple will be at his service in what way they can. As he leaves the Temple, Leonithas spies the Noble from the night before and immediately heads up to him and apologises for the previous nights drunken conversation. After a brief discourse the Noble tells Leonithas he will meet him back at the Inn at nightfall where they will talk further about the Sphere. The five meet back up and head to the marketplace where they see a public notice board. On inspection, they see a lot of notes about menial sales and people wanting to purchase items but in the midst of them they see a small notice saying: "Need help! Willing to pay well. See Bill." Intrigued and looking to earnsome money but not knowing who Bill is, Bardryn uses the large volume of her voice to randomly call out asking who Bill is. A passing woman, deafened by Bardryn's yell, stops and informs them that Bill runs the horse-yard by the East Gate. Heading to Bill's, they are met at the door by his daughter who leads them into the yards to Bill. The Adventurers tell Bill they are interested in helping him where he leads them back inside his house and tells them that he is in trouble with some men who wanted him to steal horses for them. At first, Bill thought it would be an easy way to earn money as customers have been less due to people being afraid to travel in the recent wild times. But he overheard the men talking about how they used the horses to rob from others and decided that he no longer wanted to be a part of the plan. This did not go well with the men who are now threatening to burn him and his daughter if he stops complying with their demands. After hearing this, the five decide to meet over the matter before a decision is made and head outside Bill's to talk. After a brief discussion about the morality of Bill's decisions, they agree that he is trying to fix his wrongs and decide to help him. They return inside where they inform him of their decision as long as he ensures them he is going to remain virtuous. He assures them he will and tells them they are looking for a guy named Drystan Cornog and his men in a village named Ensburn; he gives them directions to get to the village. With directions given and a person to look for the Adventurers head toward the West Gate to begin the journey to Ensburn. However, as they near the Town Green, Leonithas remembers his brief encounter with the nobleman and that they were to meet at nightfall and tells the others. Leonithas, Tados and Naivara return to the Inn to wait for the Noble while Bardryn takes some time and heads to the "Spells and More Enchanter". Jett decides he wants to return to the horse-yard and take a look around in the hopes of finding a hidden way that Drystan and his men were entering and leaving the town. On arriving at the enchanting store, Bardryn enquired from the Tiefling Enchantress about the magic surrounding the gem she carries on a leather band around her neck; she wants to know what kind of magic it is and if it can be removed and put back in. Bardryn is informed that the illusionary form of magic is of great talent and is instilled with what appears to be a portion of a person's life-force, as such it can be removed but once removed cannot be replaced to it's original form but only a similarity of it. Bardryn thanks the Enchantress and leaves to meet back up with the others in the Inn. At the horse-yard, Jett does not find any indication of hidden doorways or tunnels but does find a brooch laying on the grass. It is silver made with a green jade gem beetle inlaid in it. He takes it to the Jeweller who inspects it and sees an inscription labling it to be owned by the Himlaid family; a well-known wealthy family who live in the The Heights - an area set aside for noble families. He makes his way there, gains entry from the guards and finds directions from some noble folk to the Himlaid House. On arriving, he is met at the door by a Halfling male who informs he is the servant of the Himlaid's and enquires to the reason of Jett's presence. Jett tells him, showing the brooch and is allowed entry where he is lead to the lounge room and sees a portly woman laying on a chaise. Jett tells her of his finding her brooch in the horse-yard and she seems surprised by it being at the location stating that she rarely attends Bill's place, and has never been in any of the yards when she has been there. Though Jett tried to ascertain if she was lying to him, he found it hard to read her (rolling a 1!) and she seemed quite honest in her tone of voice. Jett then asks if he can search her yard for any signs of someone forcing entry to her place and intends to look for any hidden doors in the wall surrounding the town that her yard backs on to. Unfortunately, he does not find anything and is shown out of the property, after receiving a 50gp reward for returning the brooch. As he makes his way back through the wealthy area Jett decides to take the opportunity of seeing a naive wealthy woman and pickpocket her coming away with a further 46gp. While waiting for Jett, and nightfall, Tados decides to make use of the time and begin performing in the Inn. On hearing this, Leonithas decides to join her by dancing his Dragon Dance as she sings. Much to Leonithas' amusement, and Tados' dismay, the customers of the Inn are far more interested in the Dragon Dance (Leonithas rolled a crit20!) and ended up giving their coin to him - 52gp in total. When Jett finally returned to the Inn and they were all together, nightfall eventually came and Leonithas began to watch the door for the nobleman. Instead, they were met by a Gnome who told Leonithas to bring one more person with him to meet the nobleman. Choosing Bardryn, Leonithas followed the Gnome, with Jett, Naivara and Tados using their disguise kits and magic to follow secretly behind. The Gnome led Leonithas and Bardryn through the western side of town, with the others following discreetly behind, to the The Shacks, the lower economy sector of the town. There they were led to a small which was dark within save for a single candle on a table. There at the table were two humanoid figures which one they recognised by the blue noble clothes. A discussion occurred where the nameless noble told Leonithas and Bardrdyn that he was a friend of Dael's and was in the same covert guard as he. He then proceeded to tell them that the Sphere needed to be taken back to the Dynasty in an attempt to draw Gareth out of hiding. This obviously caused confusion for the two adventurers as they were told by Dael to take it to the Emperor, or the Amber Tower for safe keeping. As cynicism set in they began to question the validity of the noble's request, deeming it to be a ruse by Gareth to regain the Sphere for himself. To the best of his ability, the noble attempted to persuade the two that he was true to his word, but, ultimately, Leonithas and Bardryn agreed between them that it was best to speak with the rest of the group before making a decision. The noble conceded to this and told them that he would see them in the morning at the Inn to hear their decision, and instead of leaving by the front door, the two men vanished with a sound of rushing wind. Surprised and bewildered by this, the two adventurers left the building and reunited with their friends a little way down the road where they told them of what had occurred. The news left the group wondering about whether the men were really there or if they were illusions, a pondering that neither Leonithas nor Bardryn could answer as they did not touch the men, as well as questioning the validity of the need to return to the Dynasty. The group decided that in the morning they would seek further answers before they decided where they would take the Sphere.
