EDIT: 18+ ONLY (Any way I can add this to the title?) Hi everyone, I am looking for a DM and maybe even a couple players to play a D&D campaign with. So 2 weeks ago I reached out to my DM in a group I joined to see if he would be cool with adding 2 friends of mine to the party as we were very short handed and one of the players we started with literally bowed out after the first session. He said he would allow 1 of the 2 to join, but the two friends are a married couple and didn't want them to have to decide who got to play and who didn't so I decided to reach out to the community here in Roll20 to find us a DM for our own campaign. I found a player who was posting to groups applying as a DM and based on their post, they seemed like a good fit so I reached out to them. They agreed to DM our party and we arranged our first session for Tuesday, 28th of this week, but due to the hurricane that rolled through Texas, I got a message from the DM the day of the session that he was dealing with a insurance adjuster and asked if we could reschedule the first session. I said sure, np, let me ask the players when they are able to reschedule. Later that same night, I reply back that Thursday, the 30th @7:30 pm, was the best day for us. I never heard back from him and yesterday we all showed up to the game and the DM never showed. I felt bad for my friends who rescheduled things to try and show up to find there was no session to play. So I quickly figured out how to get the vault to transfer the characters we created and paid the $5 to allow a game I created to allow exports from the character vault. I never tried DMing on Roll20 so I fumbled around for what felt like an hour before I had created a quick board and map and 5 enemies to do a practice encounter. The players were able to defeat the half-orc party I created and we ended the session by giving them new character sheets to make more permanent characters with. The first session was going to be our practice one-shot session and our initial characters were supposed to be a throw-away lvl 5 characters with little to 0 backstory built into them. So now, I have 4 of us creating level 1 characters, but we still need a DM willing to run a campaign for us. Comment below if you are interested in DMing (or being a PC if we decide to add more ppl) for our group and give a brief intro about yourself and the timezone you are in.
