[LFG][Dnd 5e][bimonthly Saturdays EST] 2 new players looking for a beginner friendly game

My husband and I have been very interested in learning how to truly get into d&d. We've played a few beginner one shots, but would like to try a real group campaign. We are both new to Roll20 as well. We live out in the boonies, so it's been very difficult to find a place or group locally. I'd like to find a group that is story driven and a good balance of role-playing and combat, not just a dungeon grind. I have almost all of the rule books, so can have pre-built characters at the ready. I know he really wants to learn more about the magic system and I don't mind playing support. Unfortunately I work 50-60hr weeks, so I can only meet up every other Saturday. Starting next Saturday (8-8). We are open timewise any time after 10am EST
I'd be interested in joining as a player. Every other Saturday would work well for me. I'd prefer mornings but could make evenings work too. I'm relatively experienced with 5e and R20 now, and am interested in the kind of good story/combat mix you mentioned. I could play a range of characters based on the campaign setting and what everyone else wants to play.I A good sport, I like laughing at my bad rolls, and enjoy hearing other people's turns and RP'ing. I'd also consider contributing to hire a DM if that's the route you'd want to go. Let me know if you're interested.
Hello!  I'm also pretty new to D&D and would be interested in joining (or forming) a group. I'm considering building a paladin this time.  Ian
I’m a UK-based DM looking for a group who would like to play one of the published modules online (would suggest using Discord alongside Roll20). Of course happy to adapt it along the way so that we can have the story, roleplaying and characters shine - I love having a group who go for those aspects and work collaboratively. I could do alternate Saturday mornings your time, and I am very happy to help people new to the game. Please do PM me if you’d like to discuss.

Eric: I can do morning if that works best for everyone else, but preferably not before 9am (I don't get home from work until 2am). I like the idea of having a light hearted atmosphere you mentioned with laughing at bad rolls instead of getting frustrated (I find 1s seem to REALLY like me!)  Ian: That sounds helpful. I was thinking bard or cleric for more support since I'm not too comfortable with all the combat yet. How do you feel about every other Saturday morning starting next Saturday?  Elizabeth: I'll DM you with more info, but yes I am interested if we can get the players! Just quick question, would we all need to buy the module?  Edit: sorry I forgot to mention we both have discord so that will work! Feel free to message me @ AmayaOkami#3362
No, only I would need to have the module. I have most of the books already. As to the Roll20 packs. I don’t mind drawing the maps etc at first and then if you liked it after a couple of sessions, maybe we could discuss all chipping in a bit to buy it.  I love a light hearted, positive atmosphere for a game :)
I'm good with every other Saturday morning from next Saturday! I'll start thinking about my character more
If you don't mind a super beginner, then I'd love to join!  I'm a quick-learner and open to advice. I haven't been part of a game yet but i've watched a ton of videos and have the PHB.  The bi-monthly saturday's work well, except for the 22nd, but after that I will be free.  Let me know if you are still looking!
Thank you for reaching out! I think at the moment we are full, but I will definitely let you know if we need more players!
