Transferring a RL roll to Roll20

Hi guys!  Noob here. We started playing and I'm loving it, so much so that I bought some RL dice as I thought it'd be more authentic. Problem is that my rolls are drowning in a hectic battle and I was wondering if there's a way to 'cheat roll' a certain value. So is there an uncomplicated way to transfer my roll to the online world? Many Thanks in advance Jannick

What game are you playing? You can replace the die rolls with ?{What number did you roll?} in any macro to get a prompt instead of rolling. Depending on the sheet, you might be able to change the core die roll so it uses your Query pop-up everywhere automatically (5e can do this, for example). In other games you may need to create you own macros, e.g. /r 1d20 + 1d4 + 8 would become /r ?{What number did you roll?} + 1d4 + 8
Hi Oosh! We're playing 5e, sorry I didnt mention this. I ended up creating a macro for literally every number (1-20) and I can now just click the macro to roll the respective number in Roll20 I have rolled in real life. If anybody knows a way that theres a query box opening and I can just fill in the value and it then displays that as a roll, it'd be much appreciated! Jannick

In the character sheet settings (the cog icon to the right of the spells tab) there's a "core die roll" field. If you change this to ?{What did you roll?} it should be called in almost every template rolled straight from the sheet. If this doesn't work for any reason, there's an Attribute called d20 on your Attributes & Abilities tab. Change this to the Query and it should work - if you change any other roll-related things on the sheet this may recalculate itself, and you'll have to change it back. This won't work with Advantage/Disadvantage rolls - they have a second 1d20 hard-coded for some reason: shouldn't be an issue for you though. Set your sheet to "never roll advantage" so it only ever displays one roll, and do the advantage roll with your physical dice, then enter the resulting number. Getting this hack to work with the inbuilt Advantage rolls on the sheet would be difficult. In terms of damage, if you want to do those with physical dice as well, you'll need to do that manually per attack/spell. In the Attacks & Spellcasting section on the Core tab of the character sheet. Easy enough - just put the same Query into the damage field.
