Want to join a classical DND adventure with a laid back atmosphere? New players or old are welcome, as we journey back to days of old. Come and join in on the classical dungeon crawling experience, featuring one of DND's most memorable scenarios, The Keep on the Borderlands The game is extremely lethal with a focus on role play and creative problem solving. The role play is Light/Medium RP, ie. players are more than welcome to talk out of character or make jokes. New players are more than welcome to join, and I will help get you in the game and adventuring to the best of my ability. To describe the sessions thus far, it will be a mix of role playing, exploration, and dungeon crawling. You will be playing the role of adventurers, not hero, where the idea of 100 gold pieces makes your mouth water, if the more classical way of playing DND appeals to you, then keep reading. This is my first time running this module, and I am relatively new to running old school DND games, having only ran a couple of different scenarios. I've ran and played much more 5E, but have come to really love the old school style of play. With that said, running this game I am making ample mistakes as a DM and will be querying my players and talking with you one on one to figure out what you enjoyed about a session or disliked so I can make systematic improvements. After a long hiatus DMing it appears a lot of this skill is taking quite a bit to come back so please know that before joining, I hope though that the sessions will be enjoyable but please note they are going to be far from perfect. The module is LotFP(Lamentations of the Flame Princess) and is not 5E, the game is designed to get you back in the game quicker if a goblin shoots an arrow through your head. With that said, I wouldn't worry too much about the system as it is styled after B/X DND mechanics, and if you don't know that, it's fine too, I don't believe the rules will be much of a issue. The game sessions will take place 7PM EST, for around 2-3 hours, a quick and spicy addition to your Wednesday afternoons. Currently the party is on a quest to find the Caves of Chaos, and ancient rumored cave system which holds bountiful treasure, but has come upon some roadblocks, learning the brutal reality of this world. As our party explores further around the landscape which is the borderlands in search of the caves, they are finding more and more things, and as they interact with them it is creating many problems in the world as well. I'm looking for players that are creative problem solvers, kind and thoughtful, and willing to accept failure.
