Campaign Journal - Day #8 - Aug 6, 2020

It took some time to return to Sharn after having dealt with the eldritch cannon causing problems. We sent word ahead to House  Kundarak  about what we found out, and they did their own research.     Alison  d'Kundarak  gave us some more details about the scheme we uncovered.  Damon  d'Kundarak  discovered the schemas were from an ancient branch of House  Kundarak , a part of an intricate, interlaced, warding spell, associated with the Gatekeepers. The warding spell dates back thousands of years, the existence of dimensional seals and the House involvement was unknown.     Because of this, House  Kundarak  felt it important that we meet with the Iron Council at Krona Peak. Hoping that addressing the matter directly with the council. With the revelation of  Edvald   Le'Atur  and the Emerald Claw's involvement, it was still not sufficient to sway the council to see the dangers.      The debate was heated, and my own history with Clan  Soldorak  likely soured the situation, and led to some disapproval of the King of House  Kundarak . My father is corrupted, of that I have little doubt. Seeing him wearing the flesh of an alien being was disheartening, but also provided assurances as to what he has become.     The result, in the end, was that it falls to my Father to ensure the seal remains safe. This cannot be good. Although I cannot see him working pro-actively with the Emerald Claw, this certainly must be related, and he will either willingly or  inadvertently , break the seal, releasing the  Daelkyr  into this world.     Against instructions from the Iron Council, and without the support of House  Kundarak , we sought out the seal, hoping the Orcs who hold the area. The Orcs certainly found us, and were not happy that we were in their territory.
Pilgrimage Report August 6th  After destroying the Eldritch cannon we returned to Sharn but were quickly then forced to go far East to the Dwarven holds. That puts me North of you guys so hi. Boy do these dwarves have some politics. We are here because we wish to keep an ancient seal to a dark dimension closed. That seal lies in an old abandoned forge being excavated by a somewhat shady house. In the end we were blocked in the political realm by some rules that I have absolutely no patience for. So we resolved to try and talk to the orcs that hold the area above the excavation site about finding another way into the forge. Now we are in a desperate fight for our lives against an Orc Warband. If we make it through this our next move will be to enter the forge and find a way for us to be allowed to watch over the seal.    I will develop the situation in my next report.
Kodiak's Journal.  A lot of stuff happening.  We got back to Sharn and then had to go off to the Northeast to see the dwarves.  I didn't understand a lot of what was going on but apparently some of the dwarves have discovered an old forge and are trying to get it working.  Thornduk did not look comfortable in that meeting.  The end result is that we didn't get official permission to go to the forge to check to see if they are trying to break the seals.  We decided to go anyway and maybe ask the orcs of the area to let us in to the forge as it lies in their territory.  i don't know much about orcs but they don't usually work well with others.  By the way, the group enchanted a magic shield for me.  It works great.  We got to the hills where the forge is supposed to be and we were attacked by a band of Orogs.  These guys are tough.  This is a fight that will bring us a lot of glory if we win or death if we don't.  Scooby is probably hiding under a bush somewhere.
