James G. said: I kinda barbecued them with Fireball, will they still be useable? 藍 Yeah, for sure they'll be usable. The fireball didn't incinerate them (but was dope!)
Didn't one of you recently learn Herbalism? If so, they might know to save such things (and then can make the potion themselves too). The Potion of Hill Giant Strength is the lowest level one (Uncommon) so would be reasonable for them to have perhaps have heard of it. But up to you! I think maybe we're not too far from you now? So maybe we'll come upon the rotting corpses...

We do have an herbalist now, good point. Will have to let Simon decide whether Syrus would have learned enough to know to harvest nail clippings (Kenny can't join us this Saturday). As for finding the corpses, we're quite a ways away south, and also a good couple of weeks into your future! I personally would love a meet up. I love the idea of this being a persistent, living world. Once I hand Erasmus over to Simon (when he retires), who knows!

It would be kind of awesome if the two groups could meet up and exchange information. Or give Simon a massive headache by teaming up against the dragon.

For that to happen, we need the other group to take a couple of weeks of downtime, and we get none. And I don't want to be the one to tell our barbarian she doesn't get to rage!! XD
Hi, sorry I need to cancel game this Saturday, it's my dad's birthday and family are visiting.
Happy Birthday Papa N!
Simon N. said: Hi, sorry I need to cancel game this Saturday, it's my dad's birthday and family are visiting. Aww, Happy Birthday DM's Dad! Have a nice day! :)
Happy birthday, Simon's Dad! I won't be able to play on the 22nd (stupid work schedule), but I'll be back on the 29th. I'll still be able to monitor and post on the forums next week, just can't do the live game.
I guess it gives the "Faerun 7" a chance to claw back a bit of time. Maybe a meetup is possible, after all. I mean, even if we can't all join a specific session live, we can at least use the forum as long as we're all in the same portion of space-time... :)
Yes, Happy Birthday to Simon's dad - hope y'all have a good weekend ahead. Looking forward to re-joining game next Sat! :)
It actually works out OK for me, as Leicester City are playing in the FA Cup final tomorrow! :)

Hi everyone. Sorry for my silence. I was on call at work this past week and it's been one of those weeks. This past weekend was a national holiday here in Canada (Victoria Day, where we celebrate Queen Victoria's birthday, as she was monarch when Canada became a country), so for 3 days I was the only dispatcher on duty. Unfortunately, I won't have a day off until Friday, and I'm oh so looking forward to playing on Saturday after 11 straight days of work! My schedule for June isn't up yet, but since I'm on call one week in every four, it's pretty easy to figure out. I'll be playing this weekend and next, and the weekend after that my wife and I are going camping -- 49.521206°, -98.297696°, in case anyone is interested. I'll be bringing my laptop and tethering it to my cell phone to see if I can get online that way. Hopefully it works. Anyway, thanks for your patience. Game on!
Unfortunately, life always seems to come first! Don't worry about being incommunicado at any point when you've got to work, it just makes the weekends you do join us all the more epic! Don't forget to mark your gold down from the Resting Activities thread!
Happy Bank Holiday to Everyone! I may be a bit late tonight - should be able to join by 6pm :)
Hail mighty adventurers, Ted will join you tonight if that's ok? How's the weather at camp Norrin Geoff?
Matt said: How's the weather at camp Norrin Geoff? At home today, and ready to play! Weather here is seasonal for this time of the year, around 20*C. Rain in the forecast. I hope not, I have some yard work to do after our game today.
I'm going to be a bit late again today, prob ca 5.20pm or so.
WOOT WOOT! Fewer than 200XP needed for Norrin and 1,500XP for Erasmus to hit lvl 6!
Yay! Fraener to 5th if we get out of here alive! 😁
Chris T. said: Yay! Fraener to 5th if we get out of here alive!  Well, in that case, we'll have to get you some diamonds!
Hail mighty adventurers! I wont be joining tomorrow, it's my wife's birthday, gonna spoil her rotten. Good luck against the giant spiders X
Wishing you all a Great game tomorrow also as I won't be able to join - see you next Saturday! :)

Fraener claws at his beard and tears fill his eyes. Two of his friends dead.. no worse than dead… lost to a fate so terrible it makes him shudder. He looks around at those who escaped with him in that nightmare flight through the caverns. Thank Moradin that at least Jyrdani and her unborn child made it out alive.
OH NO! I just read through the end of game chat. Sad news. P.S. Thanks for the B'day wishes to the Mrs

Oh no, who else died?? Arian and Thibault bit the dust too.

Kimberly P. said: Oh no, who else died?? Arian and Thibault bit the dust too. A sad week indeed…
Indeed. I knew we should have left to rest up. We were all so tapped. Very few spells, zero rages. Definitely didn't help that we were two players down, but real life takes precedence. Just make sure you guys come back and finish Erasmus off. There's gold in them boots.
I've added XP & crossed off deceased or lost PCs http://frloudwater.blogspot.com/2020/08/faerun-adventures-beginner-5e-d-game.html

I think I'll run game next week to get to appropriate break point then I should take a GMing break from my online games; reducing GM burnout might lessen the number of dead PCs. :)

Simon N. said: I think I'll run game next week to get to appropriate break point then I should take a GMing break from my online games; reducing GM burnout might lessen the number of dead PCs. :) Wifey and I are going camping this upcoming weekend; my company owes me some time off for working 12 days in a row, 3 of them by myself. This past session I had a successful test of tethering my laptop to my phone and playing the game that way. The amount of data used was negligible. The real test will be if there's a strong enough cell signal where we will be.The weekend after that, June19, I'm scheduled to work again, so if you're planning on taking a break, that works for me.

Not sure where he can find someone to train with.
