Hello there! We are a group of 5 (1 DM and 4 players) looking to add 2 more players to our group. We play every Friday starting at 18:00 BST The group very rarely changes the time and date of the session. Down below I shall give more information. Background and Story so far: * The world has been created by our DM with its own story, characters, locations, gods and much more. The DM has tried his best to add realism to the world (within reason), whether it be historical accuracy regarding some elements of Medieval life or adding a more dynamic economic system and politics. * The Party, so far, has traveled from the Puplyian Empire(up north) down south to the city of Martou, capital of the Apresh Kingdom. At Martou they attended a famous tournament that is held once every couple of years. The tournament aimed to test the fighting capabilities, wits and charisma of any who participate. The party was able to win the Martou tournament and was offered the grand prize - the possibility to become part of the Apresh Kingdom and govern over an unsettled territory of their choosing. After accepting the prize, the party picked a location for their keep and construction has started. What will be expected of you as players: - Frequently attending the sessions. We play once per week and expect people to turn up on time. If a complication arises and you cannot attend a session just make sure to inform the DM and we can work around your absence. - This is a Voice Only campaign and we use Discord in order to communicate in and out of the sessions. Applicants are expected to also use the program. If you are unfamiliar with Discord we can always assist you with learning more about it. - Proficient in English. We have players that are non-native English speakers, as such we do not expect applicants to be experts in the English language. But if you have very little experience using English this might not be the group for you - Having a functioning audio setup. - Be respectful to your fellow players and the DM The Applicant Process: - The group will discuss the applicants during or before the session itself. - The applicants that are liked by the majority of the group will be contacted to have a meeting either with the recruiter or the DM - Audio is checked during the meeting and if everything is correct the applicant is added to the campaign - The applicant can, if they wish so, make a character with the assistance of the DM. Once a character is approved they shall be added into the world How to apply: Post your application bellow and please make sure to provide the following information in your application: 1. How would you like to be addressed by the other players and DM 2. Age 3. Class preference (if you have any) 4. Character ideas 5. Experience with D&D 3.5 Creating a character backstory without knowing the game world is difficult, we only ask that post you some general information about your idea as to get a feel how you, as a player, thinks. Things to consider regarding your experience with D&D in general: * If you are inexperienced with D&D, but are eager to learn, then our group can assist you with learning the system properly * If you've only played newer editions of D&D (4e;5e) then you already know the basics of the system. The main difference between 3.5 and newer versions is that 3.5 offers many more variables when it comes to character creation and interacting with the world itself. The Books we use and rolling stats: - The Player’s Handbook - Complete Warrior - Complete Divine - Complete Arcane - Stronghold Builder's Guidebook We roll 4d6 and drop the lowest dice in order to determine a character's stats Additional information: - The players and the DM are all situated in Europe, therefore players from Asia or America might have a harder time managing their schedule in regards to the game - The listing will be up for a couple of weeks(more if necessary) or until all slots are filled - Streaming or recording the sessions is forbidden unless the DM and every other player gives you written permission - When writing the application please consider providing more than one word answers - Be a team player and try to enjoy working together with the other players - When providing your character ideas please do not attempt to change the world. Needing to change the world (its history, geography, nobility etc.) in order to fit one character is unreasonable - Make sure to read the information provided.
