Dungeon Master (GM): Here is the opening information: The canyon floor is
strewn with rubble and bereft of vegetation except for a few tough, scraggly
weeds. The canyon’s rocky walls rise to a height of eighty feet. At the end of
the canyon, a twenty-foot-high wall of black stone has a broken gate carved
into it, with one stone door hanging precariously by a hinge and the other door
missing. Beyond this open gate, in the shadow of a great mountain to the east,
lies a ruined settlement. All is quiet. Roqar
the Elf Rogue Says: "Looks like we maybe too late, they found out the
hard way" Dungeon Master (GM): [The party is here on a job to warn dwarves here of the white
dragon (and green one too)] ok, so now adventurers
do you venture forth past the busted stone crafted gate? Roqar: yes Willie Belson: yes Dungeon Master (GM): it is dark inside the place here so a light source will be
needed by those without infravision Willie Belson: oh ok, nvg's? lol Dungeon Master (GM): You can see that spots of rubble has been cleared away here in
there, like an excavation site. Dolores looks around her for any signs of life Dolores: (can
i make a history check here?) Dungeon Master (GM): ok Dolores: 16 | 15 HISTORY (7) Dolores Dungeon Master (GM): alright, you are at a lost really, you can't even recall what
the name of the place once was. The only thing you know is that this was once a
dwarven settlement that is being excavated. Dolores
the Human Wizard Says: "I wonder if they'd found something in their digs...
They must store their relics somewhere here. Unfortunately nobody is around to
answer that." Dungeon Master (GM): You do spot some bone fragments here and there under the rubble. Dolores inspects underneath the rubble. Dolores: (does
it look very recent?) Dungeon Master (GM): no it does not, it is layered in dust you don't find
anything where you are standing Dolores Dolores: (so
there isn't anyone else around us other than dusty bone fragments?) Dungeon Master (GM): Nothing that is
living in the spot no Roqar
the Elf Rogue Says: "Yeah, if it wasn't a dragon, maybe they found
something bad" Dungeon Master (GM): where willie is, he can tell the contents of the room is long
gone. as it's empty aside of
the rubble. Dolores
the Human Wizard Says: "Hm, perhaps we're not too late. They might have
already escaped from here." Says: "Could someone have already warned them before we
arrived?" Roqar: 20 | 8 INVESTIGATION (0) Roqar Dungeon Master (GM): Roqar comes up empty as she rummages through the debris at her
location Dolores: (what's
this) Dungeon Master (GM): i believe that circle is an old well that Dolores is approaching looking inside of it
reveals it is filled with debris. Roqar: 14 | 15 INVESTIGATION (0) Roqar Dolores
the Human Wizard Says: "I don't think the dwarves left anything here." Willie Belson: 8 | 20 INVESTIGATION (4) Willie Belson Dungeon Master (GM): A partially collapsed, ten-foot-high wall separates this
courtyard from the settlement west of it. Three heaps of rubble are piled high
in this area. Hewn from the canyon’s back wall, a thirty-foot-high temple
facade features steps rising to a stone platform. Cut into this facade is a
ten-foot-high open doorway flanked by crumbling, life-sized granite statues of
cloaked dwarves. Evil grins can be seen on their weatherworn faces. A pillar of smoke and light from
a glowing fire can be seen coming from behind heap of rubble at the center of
the courtyard. As the party continues
to investigate the rubble they still come up empty on finding anything. yes, every building
you went through looked cleared out, aside of the mountain stone and building
rubble littered about. Roqar
the Elf Rogue Says: "Lets check out this place" Dolores
the Human Wizard Says: "Yeah, we should press on. Only dust is waiting
here." Roqar: 3 | 9 PERCEPTION (1) Roqar No traps here :D Dungeon Master (GM): up ahead of you you spot two dwarves' a male and female, sitting
and eating around a campfire near the center pile of debris on it’s opposite side. Roqar
the Elf Rogue Says: "Hey Guys!! Found something!!" Dungeon Master (GM): they are currently enjoying a meal as you approach, startled by
Roqar’s call out! Dolores
the Human Wizard Says: "Oh? They're still here..." Roqar
the Elf Rogue
Says: "Well met "
