Campaign Journal - Day #11 - Aug 27, 2020

We continued our journey through the ancient hold facing resistance from the existing  Soldorak  residents. Though it troubled me to fight them, there was little other option as they were clearly working with the  Daeklyr  monsters.     In a final showdown with  Ghared , we met  Nimira , the captain. Though the fight was brutal, she agreed to negotiate where  Ghared  refused. We were taken through the forge and allowed to proceed into a deeper cavern.      Though it was difficult, I realize that the Clan is truly lost, long corrupted by the  Daelkyr . Though there is nothing I can do to help them, I do not wish to destroy them.      The best way to save my family is to destroy the  daelkyr .
Kodiak's Journal, Day whatever.  After we finished the fight with the dwarves (I should say the first fight with the dwarves), we explored the room.  To the northeast we found an old chapel where we were attacked by undead and cloakers.  we put them down easily enough, though I am ashamed to admit I was terrified by the cloaker's scream.  We found a room that was barred and after a brief inspection, decided to leave it barred.  We explored a door behind the throne that led us into an ambush by more dwarves and dolghaunts. Unfotunately, Velios got stuck in the front row and took a beating until Sonn could drag him back and administer some healing.  Sedriss and Sonn and Thornduk led the fight until enough bad guys were cleared out so I could move into battle.  Tari and Gnippity used their magic effectively from a distance.  We took down the dwarven guards and the dolghaunts, but Gharad oozed away.  We took Nimira, the supposed head of this expedition, prisoner and questioned her.  through aggressive negotiation we were granted passage through the forge to a gorge that descended 120 feet down.  Now we're going in the right direction.  After resting and descending a rope ladder, we were confronted by a threatening voice who demanded all our treasure.  it apparently speaks draconic and calls itself Night something or other.  The others tried to negotiate with it, but it didn't seem to want to be reasonable.  Now it's time to negotiate, Kodiak-style.  If it is a dragon or dragon kin, this will be a glorious battle. I may even claim the skull as my helmet,
Pilgrimage report August 28 2020 We are in a dwarves mine, and we have to stop the evil vampire lookin guy from opening a portal to another dimension filled with evil things. I'm a little worried about the others. I know that me and kodiak could probably survive down here fighting like this for days. Speaking of which I need to figure out what time it is after I am done writing this. Any way. The others aren't as well off in the combat department as me and kodiak. The next runner up in fighting skill is actually the one I am worried about the most Thornduk. He is currently fighting his clan. Like fighting to the death. Could you guys imagine if I went up to other Yarjeits and attacked them? Anyway I am trying to keep them safe and will be working on making sure either me or kodiak is first through the door. I hear a voice in draconic. I think it is a dragon but I don't know what color it is. Regardless it seems hostile and a confrontation is looking likely. I hope you can forgive me if something happens. I guess I'll e back in the next report. P.S Wwredd is aout to leave on his pilgrimage give him my best will you.
