The passage goes 10 feet north before splitting west and east. The west side is completely filled with rubble. The east passage goes 25 ft from the south passage to a closed door.   Willie, looks for a trap on the door and does not find one, (rolled a 14 on an investigation check).   Willie, opens the door into a room, which contains 3 stone bed frames against the east wall and nothing else. He searches the room but does not find anything of value (rolled an 18 on a perception check).   The adventurers search all over the room for a secret door, even moving the stone bedframes in the process. It is Dolores that finds a secret door in the south wall on it’s east side!   Roqar, checks for a trap on the door, rolling a 12 on a perception check, she did not find one. A difficultly challenge level of 15 is used inside the temple due to the ancient dwarves seamless stonework!   The door opens into a chamber with an empty stone font that juts out of the southwest wall and a stone wardrobe against the east wall holds the rotted remains of two suits of red leather armor.   (Why they tell you, in the initial room description, what is in the wardrobe before the party even looks inside is crazy!)   Roqar, rolling a wisdom perception check of 17 spots, a holy symbol upon the scraps of one of the rotting leather suits, and sees that it represents an old and evil dwarven god, known as Abbathor, a god of greed! The suits themselves however, are useless and worthless now.   There is a south door in the font room, and Roqar, rolling a 16 on a perception check, looks for a trap but does not find one! The door is opened into a passageway that goes about 10 ft west to a flat wall and 8 ft east after which the passage is filled with rubble.   There is another door directly south of the one Roqar just entered the passageway through. She moves to that door and checks for a trap on it rolling an 8 on a wisdom perception check and does not find one.   Opening the door reveals another chamber massively filled with rubble on it’ south west side. Half buried in the rubble here is a skeleton of a dwarf priest of Abbathor, wearing rotted leather armor similar to what was found in the previous room’s wardrobe.   Around the dwarf skeleton’s neck is a silver chain with a small holy symbol upon it, a tiny jeweled dagger with dwarven runes of which Willie interprets as saying, “Greed Is Good”. It looks like the necklace could fetch 50 gold pieces.   Some searching for a secret door is had but none is found.   The party then heads back to the entrance area where Norbus Ironrune and Dazlyn Grayshard were. Norbus was in the foyer watching for the party’s return and asked them what they have found so far and the Abbathor necklace is given to him to look at.   Surprised that it’s Abbathor’s symbol he calls over for Dazlyn to come over and have a look, she was also surprised this temple was for a greedy bunch of dwarves.   Norbus, asks to see where it was found and Dazlyn and him were taken to where the skeleton was. The dwarves have a quick around each room and passage as they make their way and back in to the temple room, where they help the party look for any more secret passages. Dazlyn finds one on the south wall.   Roqar, does not find a trap on the door rolling a 5 on a wisdom perception check. It opens into a 10 ft long passage with a door at it’s end. Roqar checks for a trap on the next door rolling a 21 on a wisdom perception check and not finding a trap!   She opens the door into another passage which goes 22.5 ft east past that door passage to another door. Roqar checks for a trap on the door rolling a 21 on a wisdom perception roll and did not find one. Opening the door reveals another rubble filled room which looks like it could be the south side of the room they found the dwarf skeleton in. There is nothing of any value left in this room.   Then it’s back to the short passage with the door to the north where the party proceeds past it, going 7.5 ft west then 20 ft north west then 10 ft north to a flat wall. It’s end point suggesting that a secret door is likely in the wall however Roqar rolling a 5 on a wisdom perception check, could not find it.   Everyone but Roqar, satisfied of what was accomplished. Roqar saying, “But…uh…what about? Greed is good?”   They decide the job is done and rest in the entryway with Norbus and Dazlyn.   After the rest the adventurers depart the dwarven excavation site around 9:30 am and travel 5 hours to get off the mountain range and another 6 hours through grasslands to reach Phandalin around 8:30 pm, where they head to the Stonehill inn to rest.
Some of the party members depart the group to do their own things: Lysander, Thadeus, Chandor and Prayn. Meanwhile the rest of the group meet a Hill dwarf fellow named Galdor Brawnavil, a Cleric of the deity, Tharmekh û l, the Tender of the Forge.   Galdor, helps the party try and see if the Abbathor jeweled dagger is magical by casting an identify spell and sees that it just an ordinary holy symbol with no magical properties.   A couple of the kids in the inn, Pip Stonehill and Carp Alderleaf the Halfling, wanted to check out the amulet and Galdor lets them have a look at it.   Galdor warns the others that it is probably best not to show it around good dwarves since it’s an evil deity.   The adventures retire for the night sleeping at the Inn.   In the morning they head to the town hall to see Harbin Wester the town master, in order to collect on their job money and see if there are any new jobs. A sign out front shows the following two new ones:   Gnomengarde: “A clan of reclusive rock gnomes resides in a small network of caves in the mountains to the southeast. The gnomes of Gnomengarde are known for their magical inventions, and they might have something with which to defeat the dragon. Get whatever you can from them. If you bring back something useful and don't want to keep it for yourselves, Townmaster Harbin Wester will pay you 50 gp for it.” Falcon Hunter’s Lodge: “The orcs have fallen under the sway of evil spellcasters in Neverwinter Wood, and have been sighted in growing numbers near Falcon’s Hunting Lodge. The spellcasters dwell in a ruined manse. Falcon needs someone to make a preemptive strike against it. Destroy the evil in the manse, then expect him to reward you.” The adventurers have a chat with the paranoid Harbin, (who won’t let anyone inside the town hall other than Sildar, due to a fear of the green and white dragons), about the jobs, showing him the note from Adabra Gwynn and the necklace they found at the dwarven excavation site as proof.   The party collected 25 gold pieces for warning Adabra of the dragons and 50 gp for warning the dwarves as well.   The group then decides to head for Gnomengarde for their next job, a trip that will take them 29 hours of hiking to get to.   Adventure Time is now May 20 th , at 8:30 am   And this ends the gaming session for the day, until next time!   The Adventurers’ Experience Points Earned This Session: None this session ----------   Grand Total Experience Points:   Everyone is at 3,102.84 XP  Level 5 reached at 6,500 XP!   Loot Found: Silver Necklace with the holy symbol of Abbathor (Dwarven god of greed), a small jeweled dagger Collected 25 gp for warning Adabra Gwynn at Umbrage Hill about the green and white dragons Collected 50 gp for warning dwarven prospectors at Abbathor Temple site about the dragons   Number of Sessions for current Adventure Module: 35th Session for “Lost Mines of Phandelver / Dragon of Icespire Peak” 08/29/2020 [1st Session start was 08/15/2019]
