Dragon Age [AGE-System] old character sheets - data recovery possible?

Hi everyone! I hope that this reaches the authors of the AGE-System character sheets! Me and my Dragon Age Group have an issue since the newest Roll20 update went live yesterday. We have been using the old character sheets for our player characters and many many NPCs and were dismayed to discover, that most of the information has vanished together with the old layout. All our characters are now missing all their talents and spells, inventory, money and so on. Recreating them from memory will take countless hours and for some it might even be impossible. Now I know now that the removal of the old sheets was planned for some years now, and the fault is defenetly ours for not reading up on this and transferring the information to the new sheets in time. But we actually never knew the old layout was about to be removed and always just assumed it was kept there for players who prefered that design. So I wanted to ask (primarily the AGE-System authors), if there might be a way for us to recover the information from the old sheets, or if it is really gone for good? We (and especially our current GM) would be immensely greatful if someone could help us to get those character sheet informations back, so we don't have to painfully recreate them all from memory. On a more positive note though, we discovered that we find that the new sheets are really awesome, especially in how the rolls are displayed in the chat! (we are wondering now why we kept using the old one...) So thank you very much AGE-System authors for the beautiful design! We hope you can help us and thank you very much in advance! Is your GM a Pro subscriber? If so, he could grab the code for the old sheet and use a custom sheet so the character data is visible...
Sadly not, allthough that would be an option to subscribe for a month and recover the data that way. Thank you for the suggestion!
What about the attributes and abilities tab?  Even when the character sheet is removed the character data should still be accessible there (although it may be more or less usable depending on the character sheet design)

Lots of attributes dont show up on the attributes & abilities tab - anything in a repeating section will never appear there for example.
Hi, it shouldn't be gone-gone. The information should still be there somewhere. This is the first I heard of this since I don't usually use the forums. The upgrade path is supposed to be backwards-compatible. Hit me up (Dera Spindrift) on the AGE discord (if you're on it), at Spindrift#1617 on discord, or <a href="http://twitter.com/caderaspindrift" rel="nofollow">http://twitter.com/caderaspindrift</a>
Ah, I see, this was on the "old version" of the character sheet? This one, as announced back in August 2017? Until the end of 2017, a tab called Old will display the information from the older sheets. While many attributes will transfer automatically, others will need to be copied and pasted into the new sheet. Maintaining the "old" sheet as a separate sheet was just not possible, and as noted, it was announced over 3 years ago that this version would be going away. I don't have the ability, as the sheet author, to find out who uses the sheets and send an announcement. (I mean, I KINDA could, but most people wouldn't notice the change.) The time from August 2017 to September 2020 was meant to be a transition period to do the transfer of attributes. This suggestion: If so, he could grab the code for the old sheet and use a custom sheet so the character data is visible... ... should work, however. None of the old data would have been removed (at least, based on my understanding of roll20), and you would be able to do the suggested copy/paste method, toggling between the "old" and "current" sheet versions. Then when you switched back to the current sheet, the information you added would still be there.

I assume you're referring to the method of creating a "notification popup" on the sheet to notify of sheet updates , that can then be permanently dismissed? Yes it's doable, but it's not something you need to feel you'd have to do. That warning having been there for ages as you said, long before you touched the sheet. From the link there is an example of a sheet that have created such, but haven't myself tried to replicate it yet so don't know how much work making one would be, just that's it's possible, and that it have been done before on the GURPS sheet. I'd be very interested if you happen to do something like that, haven't got around to look at the GURPS implementation to extract an example/template that could be used in other sheets.
