Stop the madness before it consumes you! A Dungeons & Dragons adventure for characters of levels 1–15 TIME: [EST] Sunday afteroons. I was thinking 12ish New players or vets welcome. I want to run something fun weekly or bi-weekly if people are busy and keep it to 3-5 hrs. Want to look at characters by this sunday to either start or have a character-building session. Depends on how many newbies we got. I am not looking for min-maxing so if you got some fun build idea then go for it. About me: Been DMing since D&D1st edition/Red box days. Mostly ran AD&D along with all the others from the time. Took some time off and just getting back into running games since 5th edition. Ran a few one-shots and now want to get into a regular campaign. I like a mix of combat, roleplaying and fun so having a halfling barbarian riding a dire chicken won't be tormented for not being optimal. Please don't play that character. that's my idea. lol. Well, you get the idea. Long as we all have a good time and get along I think it will be fun. The beginning of the campaign may follow the original module but may change things around as it goes on depending on how it all goes. So if you played it before don't be surprised if new characters replace the default npcs. I know it is an old module so many may have played it before. I'll change things up so it isn't a snoozefest. And yes if you played it before you won't be penalized. HOW IT IS RUN. So it will be PG-13. I may curse from time to time so forgive my mouth. Everyone is welcome. I expect everyone to get along. If there is a pronoun you want everyone to use let me know. If I slip please understand I mean no offense. No politics. I want to leave real-life drama out completely. Sex is fade to black and no horror involving it will be allowed. Yeah, you start as slaves in a pen but not going to have any adult stuff like that happen. It's a porn free game. Torture is fade to black and generalized. That is if you torment a guard I may say the character is taken to the black room and tortured and returns cut and bruised etc but not going to dwell on this. No torture porn. No Homebrew. I don't have time to review every source or tweak it on the fly so not going to be allowed. So its pretty simple no porn, torture or politics. So what is allowed: You are free to use any official sources for your characters if you want to run something from another setting let me know and we can discuss it. So eberron etc is not part of the world but if you really want to play a warforged we can figure out a way to work it in. Use the standard array for your character stats. Level 1 to start. Since you start in the slave pens you won't have any starting equipment. Just the stuff you can escape with. Characters are subject to approval. I want everyone on roughly the same power level. But the goal is to have characters that have the potential to be adventurers and get along with each other in some fashion. So a concept that would never be an adventurer will be rejected. expect a mix of fighting, exploring, roleplaying, and puzzle-solving on occasion. So that's about it.
