New Wannabe Module Creator - Probably dumb questions

Hi All, I'm looking at creating S&S style modules on Roll20 (I'll run them for my group regardless of them ever being published) with an appropriate license from the systems publisher and have some, probably dumb, questions. 1. How do I set-up a template with the basic structure for the modules? I'm using the publishers submission guidelines for print modules as the basis for my folder layout so it's formatted in a similar way. Do you just create a 'template' game with the structure and no other info and then copy it? If so, how do you 'copy' a game? 2. I'm using my regular group as playtest guinea pigs and have had them set up characters in preparation in a generic game which I'll export to the Charactermancer. How do you do a playtest version of the module? Do you copy the 'game' and run the playtest in that? Thanks in advance for your responses. Jim

Hi Jim, 1. It is possible to create a template game, and then duplicate it , if this improves your workflow. The only warning I would give for this is that the current advice is that if you intend to sell your product as an 'Add-On', that you create a fresh game each time. A screenshot to show you where to find the copy button (from the game's main screen): 2. Using the same tool as linked in 1, you can create a copy of the game you've made to play test, although it's worth noting that changes made in the original will not be reflected in any duplicated games, they become their own thing once copied. Hope this answers your questions, and best of luck with your endeavours!

Thanks Nic, it does. Below is a screen shot of the folder structure I intend using for each adventure, Obviously the title folder will be renamed. Would that make a difference re add-ons? I read that copied hand-outs create issues but I don't believe it mentioned folders. Disregard the above re- add-ons, it should be OK as this template will never be released as a market place product. So the final game will always be unique. Is this a suitable structure for module?
