Is it possible to restrict tokens while allowing dynamic lighting?

I have just begun messing around with dynamic lighting in a current campaign I have been running. Previously I used fog of war and simply moved my player's tokens to the desired square they are attempting to move to when they request it. However, with dynamic lighting, the player needs control of the token to see with that tokens given "vision." Is there a way to prevent players from dragging their tokens accidentally around the map and revealing areas they haven't walked to yet while still allowing the dynamic lighting to give each player a specific vision based on what their token sees? I know you can restrict movement through walls set as dynamic lighting barriers, but I would like to remove player control of the tokens while still letting them see.

There really isn't. The closest you can get is having tokens the players control with sight but not light, and separate tokens representing their light that you would move. However, that only works for visible light, not darkvision or related. This is really more of a social issue to work out with your players.
for helping someone else possibly figure it out, which Dynamic Lighting are oyou also using? Legacy (LDL) or Updated (UDL) if you change your page settings to "Reveal only when Dropped", that could remedy someone just dragging all over the place. You'd Instantly see them disappear.
I believe I am on the UDL version. I believe that the situation could be fixed in the meantime by addressing the issue with my players and asking that they refrain from dragging tokens, but they have never had the option to do so before and I was searching for a hard and fast fix to keep any accidental movement from happening.

You can use a Circle Tool on the dynamic lighting to stop access from certain areas. I recently found out that You can use circles for Windows of a building. Allowing sight but no movement through, so it could function on UDL as a sort of Barrier area until allowed or ready to move on. I suppose it causes issues if you use the LDL settings instead of UDL though fyi.

Note that Kenton has said that circles' behavior will change at some point, so do not rely on it in the long term. See here: https://app.roll20.net/forum/permalink/9147145/
Oh sweet. forgot about that post!. But fingers crossed that they implement the Block movement feature the same time they fix the circles! lol thanks Rab! Finderski's suggestion here works. An infinite deck of cards with one card, transparent PNG, and a massive size, with the deck only visible to GM. Drag a card to the table to stop players being able to selected their tokens (they'll be dragging a giant invisible card instead). It's a temporary measure but will stop accidental movement. Players can delete the card and still move their token - if they're that keen on ignoring your instructions though, you probably have bigger problems.
