All players seeing whispers

I don't know if I'm just being stupid but i have always whisper rolls on in my game settings.  I'm using a token for gmnotes and its coming up showing the whisper to gm but the players are also seeing it.  is there a setting I've missed?
How are you using the token? Are you selecting it as the "as" option for the chat window and then typing into the chat box? This won't automatically whisper to GM.
The token has text in the gmnotes part.  I have a macro set up, /w gm !gmnote I press the token then press the macro but all the players see the whisper.
Im also using the gmnote api.
I just used a different script for it and its working now :)

nah its just whispers !gmnote to you, well does for me anyway.
It would be one line, and you are also ignoring the wrong line. ! = Ignore this line for API So the command is /w gm !
gmnote If you want to do it that way, unless you are not using the Chat Button API trick or ignoring the command from the API perspective, I don't know what !gmnote is if that's the case.
Got it all sorted, yeah they had to be on the same line.  Thanks
Thing is if you whisper to GM you cannot have multiple sections as only the first is whispered, other sections are visible for everyone. So this should be the case here and turns out it was...

Try switching to Supernotes . It's the updated version, available in One Click, and has a lot more options.
I'm definitely gonna check out Supernotes, My gmnotes are working perfect now though Supernotes looks great, thankfully every technical issue I had in my first session has now been sorted and the second session went so much smoother.  First time GM and running Curse of Strahd, the updated dynamic lighting had my players seeing the entire maps like fog of war, had to go back to the old one and then they seen my notes, discord starting throwing people in and out of the chat and my soundboard was coming through completely distorted.  I honestly thought it was game over, I got in touch with The Aaron about the notes and he helped me out with that and the macro issues i had.  I've quickly noticed that the community around D&D and Roll20 is genuinely one of the nicest and most helpful community's I've ever been part of, its actually so refreshing.
