They are heading there on a job to warn of the green and white dragons while also hoping that the reclusive, inventive gnomes will happen to have something that can be used to defeat the dragons. Harbin Wester will also play 50 gold pieces for any magical item that the party doesn’t want.    On the world map, one hex represents 5 miles so the travel times are as follows for the hexes the party hikes on foot to Gnomengarde:   FOOTHILLS/BLUFFS : 1 hex / 5 hours MOUNTAINS : 1 hex / 10 hours GRASSLANDS : 1 hex / 1.4 hours After about 12 hours of hiking they stop to set up camp and rest for 8 hours.   During the 1 st watch Willie had dozed off, (Wisdom check roll of 5), resulting in a band of six redbrand ruffians, sneaking up onto the party to attack and try and take their stuff!   The Redbrands get a free attack on the sleeping party here:   One Redbrand hits Willie with a  shortsword for 4 piercing damage!   Another Redbrand missed striking Xar’Tharkas.   Galdor got jabbed by a Redbrand’s shortsword for 6 piercing damage!   The Redbrand on Dolores, missed striking her, as she awakes and dodges the blade!   Roqar, also dodges a Redbrand’s blade!   Now with the adventurers fully awake they go into Combat Round #01 with the Redbrand ruffians:   Willie, swings his magical Talon long sword +1 at Ruffian #06 but missed!   Galdor, bludgeons Ruffian #05 with his warhammer (Held one-handed), for  6 damage! Galdor, also cast a Hold Person spell, upon Ruffian #05 who fails a Dice Challenge level 15, Wisdom save rolling a 14, so he is paralyzed and held fast!   Ruffian #06, jabs his short sword at Xar’Tharkas, hitting for 4 piercing damage!   Dolores, casts the Hold Person spell upon Ruffian #02, who rolls a 2 on his wisdom save needing a DC of 15, so he is also now paralyzed and held!   Xar’Tharkas, slashes Ruffian #05 for 11 damage with his hand axe!   Xar’s Time Echo, swings his hand axe and missed Ruffian #04!   Roqar, jabs at Ruffian #03 with the short sword but missed!   Ruffian #03, strikes Roqar with the short sword for 6 piercing damage!   Ruffian #04, missed Xar’Tharkas’s Time Echo with the short sword!   Ruffian #01, hits Willie for 3 piercing damage with the short sword!     Round #02 of Combat! Willie, scores a solid hit, slashing Ruffian #06 for 14 damage with the Talon long sword!   Galdor, pounds Ruffain #02 for 9 bludgeoning damage with the warhammer!   Galdor, also cast Searing Smite upon the warhammer which deals out an extra 6 hit points of fire damage on Ruffian #02 since he failed his constitution saving throw rolling a 12 when needing 15 or better!   Ruffian #06, swings his short sword at Willie and missed!   Dolores, cast the Fire Bolt spell at Ruffian #02, dealing 1 HP of fire damage and defeating him!   Xar’Tharkas, slashes Ruffian #06 with the hand axe for 11 damage, defeating the him!   Roqar, stabs Ruffian #03 with the dagger, for 4 + 7 sneak attack damage!   Ruffian #03, strikes Roqar with his short sword for 7 piercing damage!   Ruffian #04, swings and missed Xar’Tharkas’s Time Echo!   Ruffian #01, swings his short sword and missed Xar’s Time Echo!     Round #03 of Combat! Willie, scores a solid hit on Ruffian #01, with the Talon long sword, dealing 13 slashing damage!   Galdor, swings his magically flaming warhammer at Ruffian #03, scoring 4 bludgeoning + 2 fire damage, after the ruffian fails his constitution save rolling a 2 and needing 15 or better!   Dolores, casts the Fire Bolt spell upon Ruffian #03, dealing 9 fire damage and defeating him!   Xar’Tharkas, swings his hand axe at Ruffian #01, dealing 9 slashing damage and defeating him!   Xar’s Time Echo, swings the hand axe at Ruffian #04, scoring a hit for 11 slashing damage!   Roqar,  stabs her dagger into Ruffian #04, dealing 4 + 2 sneak attack piercing damage and defeating him!   End of combat!   The adventurers find nothing upon the Redbrand ruffians worth taking.   Galdor, prays to Tharmekhûl to cast a Cure Wounds spell upon Roqar, healing back 9 hit points.   In the morning they set off again towards Gnomengarde, Sildar Hallwinter the fighter, guiding them.   When they reach the site this is what is seen:   You follow a stream uphill to the base of the mountain, where waterfall erosion has carved out a natural concavity. The roaring waterfall creates a cloud of mist as it plunges 60 ft into a shallow pool of water, within which rise two small islands covered with two-foot-tall red, green, and purple mushrooms. Several cave openings overlook the pool from rocky ledges twenty to thirty feet above. The mountain blocks any sunlight from reaching this place. Galdor the Dwarf Cleric            "Guys, this looks like a trap!", Galdor whispers to the group as he points to the islands and to the cave openings   Roqar, braves the 3 ft depth of the warm water around the small islands to go over and cuts off a piece of purple mushroom, then eats eat. No magical effect, it just satisfies her hunger. Dolores the Human Wizard Hollers over the roar of the waterfall: "Did you just...!"     Roqar tries to have a better look at the rope bridge that connects two of the cave openings’ ledges, 20 ft from the ground and near the waterfall itself. Rolling a 15 for a wisdom perception check she can’t make too much more out of it, in part to the misting, though it just looks like a regular rope bridge. There is a small pathway that winds its way up the cliff wall on the eastern side rising 30 ft up to a ledge with a cave opening. The adventurers then go up this path and see the cave opening is 7 ft in height. They move 30 ft east then 30 ft north into a dining area, 25 ft long x 20 ft wide, with plate settings upon the tables, along with chairs sized for gnomes. There are hanging oil lanterns throughout the place giving light. The lanterns are attached to a rope and pulley. There is a stout wooden cabinet against the east wall. In the center of the north wall of the dining room is a passage that goes north for 25 ft. There is an east passage off of it just 10 ft up. At it’s far end it turns east 10 ft to a wooden door fitted with an rusty iron handle.
Checking for a trap on the door, Galdor, Roqar & Willie did not find one so the handle is turned and the door opens into a busy kitchen area. The adventurers see the following going on: A female gnome uses a poker to stoke the fire of a hot iron stove standing against the east wall. A male gnome uses a complicated press-like contraption to squeeze oil out of a big red mushroom and filter the liquid into four oil flasks. A female gnome stands atop a low table and uses a mechanical rolling pin contraption to kneed green bread dough. The severed caps of several big green mushrooms are set around her. A male gnome forms the dough into loaves of green bread, his tongue sticking out as he carefully shapes each loaf like a master sculptor. A female gnome teeters on a stool as she stuffs a big purple mushroom into a barrel, so that it can ferment and be turned into mushroom wine. Willie walks into the kitchen saying, “Hey baby, I am Rick James!”, laughs. The gnomes all pause to look towards the source of the new voice in the room. Joybell the Gnome Cook Says: "Say what? Oh Rick you are? How May I help you? are you guest someone is expecting?"   Galdor the Dwarf Cleric "We are terribly sorry for our acquaintance here, dwarven children", Galdor says as he gestures towards Willie   Roqar the Elf Rogue Says: "So Did you people make these wonderful caves?"   Roqar the Elf Rogue gives a side eye to the Dwarf   Tervaround the Gnome Cook Says: "Oh yes, our ancestors carved out this place."   Galdor the Dwarf Cleric Says: "Carving is not making", Galdor whispered to Roqar.   "People can't be precise when carving, unlike forging and stonecarving"   Says: "Yes, there is a difference between the two"   Meanwhile, Dolores braves going down another passage on her own. She takes the passage just off the one going to the kitchen, where it goes 20 ft before turing south east for 10 ft to a passage that then goes east for 5 ft into another chamber where Dolores sees the following: Parked in alcoves in this otherwise empty room are two gnomish contraptions. Each resembles a crab with a barrel for a shell, six articulated metal legs, and a pair of forward-facing pincer claws. Dolores, afraid the things may be magical and come to life to attack her, makes an about face and heads back to the kitchen area. Roqar the Elf Rogue Says: "Carving, making, freakin somantics, their ancestors dug the caves out, what ever"   Galdor the Dwarf Cleric Says: "Dolores, what made you run in here so quickly?"   Dolores the Human Wizard Says: "Nothing in particular..."   Galdor the Dwarf Cleric Says: "Are you suuure? Since all I saw was you running in here scared for your life" Says: "Couldn't have been a dwarven child, what was it actually?"   Willie moves to a passage in the south wall of the kitchen and sees two flights of stairs going up. Tervaround the Gnome Cook Says: "We are sort of busy here, so maybe if you found Fibblestib or Dabbledob they can talk to you and help."   Galdor the Dwarf Cleric Says: "Thank you, telling us their appearance would most definitely help us more" Says: "What is your name by the way, dwarven child?"   Roqar the Elf Rogue Says: "Hey Gnomes, u, Could we meet with who ever is your leader here? We want to find out more about this place"   Uppendown the Gnome Cook Says: "Oh, our leaders, uhhmm well, they are busy at the moment."   Dolores the Human Wizard Says: "Busy?"   Uppendown the Gnome Cook Says: "Uhmm, well i'd rather not talk about it, you see."   Roqar the Elf Rogue Says: "Maybe we can help them"   Galdor the Dwarf Cleric Says: "May I ask you of something else? Do you have any smiths around? If so, where?" Says: "I'm a little bit of a smith myself and I would want to meet them"   Tervaround the Gnome Cook Says: "yea, uhmm...they are preoccupied at the moment. Oh, and our inventors are likely busy working on their latest contraptions."   Galdor the Dwarf Cleric Says: "The smiths or the leaders?"   Tervaround the Gnome Cook Says: "Our Kings, Korboz and Gnerkli, are the ones that run the place.”   Galdor the Dwarf Cleric Says: "Then I'm sure our party shouldn't even try to disturb them"   Dolores the Human Wizard Says: "You have two kings?"   Tervaround the Gnome Cook Says: "so yea, Fibblestib or Dabbledob, are the inventor types that could be of some help for you."   Panana the Gnome Cook Says: "Yes, yes, two Kings they are."   Galdor the Dwarf Cleric Says: "Where are Fibblestib and Dabbledob right now? If you have any idea of their current location, that is"   Dimble the Gnome Cook Says: "They are likely in the workshop on the other side of here, over the bridge, tinkering with something, Is my best guess."   Joybell the Gnome Cook Says: "Yea, You'll need to cross over the rope bridge to get to the other side."   Roqar the Elf Rogue Says: "Could you take us to them? Its important we talk with them soon"   Galdor the Dwarf Cleric Says: "Might I ask where these side-paths lead off to?" Says: "So that we don't walk into off-limits territory"   Dolores looks behind her into the doorway every few seconds   Galdor the Dwarf Cleric Says: "What are you doing Dolores? At least tell us what got you so scared"   Dolores refuses to say anything   Roqar the Elf Rogue Says: "Yes, Tell us, so that we know what scared you and can tease you about it"   Dolores the Human Wizard Says: "I-im not scared!"   Panana the Gnome Cook Says: "We're a bit busy here but just basically folow the passages south until you reach a third chamber, where you will see a couple guards, Ulla & Pog, the bridge is just west off where they are."   Galdor the Dwarf Cleric Says: "If anything like that happens, I'll deal with Roqar myself"
Dolores the Human Wizard Says: "Just watching our backs."   Galdor the Dwarf Cleric Says: "Oh... Thank you for all the help then, dwarf children", says as he starts to leave   Tervaround the Gnome Cook Says: "Those stairs go up to a pantry there."   Roqar the Elf Rogue Rolls her eyes sighs   Galdor makes his way back towards where the adventurers entered the complex. This time going 20 ft east then turning 5 ft south when he spots a female gnome sitting upon a contraption that looks like a platform with 4 crossbows. The gnome is sitting 6 ft above the crossbows, in a chair with peddles and levers, used to work the gizmo.  Suddenly she fires a crossbow bolt that wedges into the wall to Galdor’s right! Galdor the Dwarf Cleric "Oi, oi, oi! Me and my mates here talked to your kitchen staff, that told us to talk to Fibblestib and Dabbledob, since your kings are currently preoccupied", he says with his hands above his head Says: "They told us to go continue south from the kitchen and to then cross the bridge", “Oi, Please Stop Shooting!” Facktoré the Gnome Weaponsmith Says: "Begone… I'm… busy here!"   Galdor the Dwarf Cleric Says: "Can we just pass?"   Facktoré the Gnome Weaponsmith Says: "No!"   Roqar the Elf Rogue Says: "Are we supposed to cross the bridge first perhaps?"   Galdor the Dwarf Cleric Says: "We have to talk to Fibblestib and Dabbledob, it's a matter of urgency" they told us to go south then cross the bridge to the other side   Facktoré the Gnome Weaponsmith Says: "Urgency... smergency… maybe… some other time… i'm busy… go away."   Galdor the Dwarf Cleric Says: "You are making yourself busier by not letting us pass" Says: "We literally just need to get to the either of them" Says: "Us having to damage your ledges by having to climb wouldn't really be appreciated, I'm sure"   Facktoré the Gnome Weaponsmith Says: "Whatever… you…  are… not… getting… anywhere… near… me!"   Roqar the Elf Rogue Peeks around the coner "How about if we paid you to let us go by?"   Facktoré, let’s loose another bolt, which again embeds into the wall to Roqar’s right! Facktoré the Gnome Weaponsmith Says: "No… one… is… getting… near… me… period!"   Galdor the Dwarf Cleric Says: "What if I joined your smithy, seeing as you people are genuises in tinkering. That alone would be quite a sight to behold, if mixed with my dwarven smithing"   Says: "What if we go outside, let you go somewhere else and we'll pass" Says: "Therefore we wouldn't be getting any nearer to you"   Facktoré the Gnome Weaponsmith Says: "Maybe…some other time…but sure not now!" Says: "No… I'm… staying… here!"   Galdor the Dwarf Cleric Galdor starts heading off Slipping past Roqar   Roqar the Elf Rogue Whispers to Galdor "How about you cast some kind of spell on her? so that we can get by?"   Galdor the Dwarf Cleric Says: "Haven't got any"   Both Galdor and Roqar, head off, away from where the paranoid gnome is, and have a look at a ledge just to the south of the ledge with the pathway that they came up on. It is only 20 ft high and looks climbable enough, at least to Roqar. So they both go down the pathway and to the base of the next ledge where both of them attempt to climb up. Roqar managed to do so, easily enough for her, however the stout dwarf had a bit of trouble, so Roqar lowers a rope down to Galdor, who ties it around his shield to use as a stepping stone. Dolores comes outside to see the two on the ledge. Dolores the Human Wizard Says: "What are you guys doing out here?!"   Galdor the Dwarf Cleric Says: "If you want to potentially anger gnomes, go further, get yourself shot!"   Roqar the Elf Rogue Says: “The Gnomish Bitch won’t let us go by, so we're doing it the hard way!”   Galdor is successfully assisted up the ledge this time around and thanks Roqar, as she pulls up Galdors shield, then repacks her rope. Dolores the Human Wizard Says: "Perhaps I can grab her attention from this side. Give me a signal when you're ready!"   Roqar the Elf Rogue Says: "We're better off going this way, less chance of getting shot"   Galdor the Dwarf Cleric Says: "Dolores, could you get the attention of the rest of the party?" Says: "So that we can pull them all up here?"   Roqar the Elf Rogue Says: "Come on up, if you can?"   Galdor the Dwarf Cleric Says: "We should wait on the others, pull them up and then proceed" Says: "So that no crossbow shenanigans happen again"   The rest of the party is gathered and go down to the bottom of the next ledge, where a rope is then lowered and tied to each of them as they are then pulled up to the top, one by one. They all enter the new area, going east up a 10 ft flight of stairs, then south for 10 ft then east for 25 ft, (there is a south going passage at the 15 ft mark in the south wall), and into a large storage chamber that holds twelve forty-gallon barrels set into wide alcoves. Each barrel is secured by a wooden brace. The barrels in the south alcove have been tapped with wooden spigots. Galdor the Dwarf Cleric Says: "This looks like an alcohol storage" Says: "It will most probably contain the mushroom wine" Says: "Let's head further south instead of investigating this"   Galdor the Dwarf Cleric Says: "Let's head further south instead of investigating this"   Willie the Elf Ranger Says: "Wonder if that shroom wine is any good?"   Galdor the Dwarf Cleric Says: "You might get to try it later, anyways."   They backtrack to the south going passage off the current one, which goes 15 ft then opens into a 20 ft long x 15 ft wide chamber with a 10 ft high ledge on it’s south end, upon which stands a male and female gnome, whom are guarding the area. This chamber is filled with mist from the waterfall outside. Dolores the Human Wizard Says: "Oh.. someone's up here..."   Galdor the Dwarf Cleric Says: "Hello you two! The last gnome we saw tried to shoot us, even though the kitchen staff told us to go south"
The female gnome shouts something in gnomish at first then the male speaks in common.   Galdor the Dwarf Cleric Crossing his fingers, whispering to himself: "Please no more attacks, please no more attacks"   Pog the Gnome Guard Says: "Who goes there?"   Galdor the Dwarf Cleric Says: "A party of seven members, wishing to talk to Fibblestib and Dabbledob"   Roqar the Elf Rogue Says: "We need to talk to them"   The two gnomes talk amoung themselves then turn back to the adventurers. Pog the Gnome Guard Says: "Ah, you wish to speak to Fibblestib or Dabbledob. I see and even though there are seven of you, still, we need proof that you are whom you say to be."   Galdor the Dwarf Cleric Says: "What exactly do you mean by that? We had to climb a ledge, just to be able to pass your crossbow tower up north"   Pog the Gnome Guard Says: "You see...we believe there to be a shapechanger amongst our midst here, which is harming us."   Dolores the Human Wizard Says: "Huh... that makes sense... I was about to ask why the paranoia." Says: "Although people in the kitchen didn't seem to be bothered about us..."   [Note: That is weird, though perhaps, only the ‘higher ups’ know what has been going on and they didn’t tell everyone. The kitchen description does not mention any of them as paranoid.] Pog the Gnome Guard Says: "Ah, Facktore, oh yes, she is quiet paranoid right now, sorry for that."   Galdor the Dwarf Cleric Says: "No offense taken"   Roqar the Elf Rogue Says: "You need us to prick our fingers or something? Show that bleed the right colors?"   Galdor the Dwarf Cleric Says: "Or we could actually just show what we are capable of"   Pog the Gnome Guard Says: "Ah, That's good then, their pre-occupation with getting a meal ready has calmed their nerves a bit then."   Galdor the Dwarf Cleric Says: "Do you have anything you need help with? Aside from the shapechanger?"   Pog the Gnome Guard Says: "Well, i'm sure the shapechanger would bleed as well. No idea if they have different colored blood." Says: "Nothing that I can think of...just the to rid of the troublesome shapechanger."   Galdor the Dwarf Cleric Says: "In all honesty, we could do it in a simple way"   Pog the Gnome Guard Says: "Might help calm King Korboz down for sure and Facktore"   Galdor the Dwarf Cleric Says: "You should get everyone in one room" Says: "We will go and investigate the rest of this place, if we spot anyone, we will bring them back to the group" Says: "If there are any clones, you already know what happened"   Dolores the Human Wizard Says: "But first someone should calm that crossbow gnome down"   Pog the Gnome Guard Says: "Then what? wait to see whom the shapechanger takes a bite out of, once everyone starts getting hungry?"   Galdor Brawnanvil: just because someone is cranky, it doesn't mean they are evil   Pog the Gnome Guard Says: "Ulla & I have tried to calm Facktore down, to no avail."   Galdor Brawnanvil: my dwarf just thinks of Gnomes and Halflings as Dwarven Children   Pog the Gnome Guard Says: "she won't let anyone near her."   Roqar the Elf Rogue Says: "Thats what I wanna know also" Says: "So we gather them together, then what?"   Dolores the Human Wizard Says: "How long did you all suspect that a shapeshifter was in your midst?"   Pog the Gnome Guard Says: "You are free to Investigate around Gnomengarde but if we hear of trouble from you, we will deal with you."   Galdor the Dwarf Cleric Says: "We, as a party, explore the rest of this place, trying to find anyone that didn't show up"   Pog the Gnome Guard Says to Dolores: "It's been a tenday since Orryn and warryn disappeared. Then it was almost King Korboz that almost got eaten. King Korboz claimed a rug has tried to eat him!”   Galdor Brawnanvil: aww   Galdor Brawnanvil: 21 INSIGHT  (7) Galdor Brawnanvil   Dolores the Human Wizard Says: "Shapeshifter can turn into an object perhaps? (thinking aloud)"   Pog the Gnome Guard Says: "That was in the throne room."   Galdor Brawnanvil: I'm trying to see if they are lying   Dungeon Master (GM): ok you do not get any hint of a lie from them
Galdor Brawnanvil: hmm I wonder what to do                     Roqar the Elf Rogue Says: "So these probs actually started some time ago"   Dolores the Human Wizard Says: "What were your names again?"   Galdor the Dwarf Cleric Says: "We could always do the simple things, like cutting or shaving off hair, cutting toenails"   Dolores: look around a bit more maybe   Pog the Gnome Guard Says: "I am Pog, and this here is Ulla, pardon that she speaks very little common, but is learning."   Galdor the Dwarf Cleric Says: "Since shapechangers and shapeshifters can't exactly recreate those" Says: "Once it's cut off, it usually changes into it's original form"   Roqar: Investigate every room, check everything see if it attacks us hehe let them have their meal solve the mystery scoobies hehe   Dolores: can i cast detect thoughts on them i mean on myself   Dungeon Master (GM): sure if you have it, of course   Galdor Brawnanvil: may I roll History, to see if I know anything else about shapeshifters/shapechangers   Dolores: Detect Thoughts abjuration 2 Casting Time:  1 action Range:  Self Target:  Self Components:  V, S, M (A copper piece) Duration:  Concentration Up to 1 minute For the duration, you can read the thoughts of certain creatures. When you cast the spell and as your action on each turn until the spell ends, you can focus your mind on any one creature that you can see within 30 feet of you. If the creature you choose has an Intelligence of 3 or lower or doesn’t speak any language, the creature is unaffected. You initially learn the surface thoughts of the creature—what is most on its mind in that moment. As an action, you can either shift your attention to another creature’s thoughts or attempt to probe deeper into the same creature’s mind. If you probe deeper, the target must make a Wisdom saving throw. If it fails, you gain insight into its reasoning (if any), its emotional state, and something that looms large in its mind (such as something it worries over, loves, or hates). If it succeeds, the spell ends. Either way, the target knows that you are probing into its mind, and unless you shift your attention to another creature’s thoughts, the creature can use its action on its turn to make an Intelligence check contested by your Intelligence check; if it succeeds, the spell ends. Questions verbally directed at the target creature naturally shape the course of its thoughts, so this spell is particularly effective as part of an interrogation. You can also use this spell to detect the presence of thinking creatures you can’t see. When you cast the spell or as your action during the duration, you can search for thoughts within 30 feet of you. The spell can penetrate barriers, but 2 feet of rock, 2 inches of any metal other than lead, or a thin sheet of lead blocks you. You can’t detect a creature with an Intelligence of 3 or lower or one that doesn’t speak any language. Once you detect the presence of a creature in this way, you can read its thoughts for the rest of the duration as described above, even if you can’t see it, but it must still be within range. SPELL SLOT LEVEL 22 OF 3 REMAINING   Dolores: ok i did not see that coming   Dungeon Master (GM): Yes you could roll that   Galdor Brawnanvil: 9 HISTORY  (4) Galdor Brawnanvil fuck I propably know a little to nothing more about them   Dolores the Human Wizard Says: "Question to you both, who do you think the shapeshifter is?"   Dungeon Master (GM): ok they would see you starting to cast a spell, do you say anything that may calm them enough to not fire anything at the caster?   Pog the Gnome Guard Says: "Well, it was last a rug, it could be anything else now"   Pog the Gnome Guard Says: "I have no idea what species it could be"   Dolores the Human Wizard Says: "Don't mind me here, I'm not going to hurt you."

Galdor the Dwarf Cleric Says: "You know what?"   Galdor the Dwarf Cleric Says: "I'll go with you, show me all objects around here, I'll make one tear or hole into them and patch it right up"   Pog the Gnome Guard Says: "ok, but i warn you i will retalate if you attack"   Galdor the Dwarf Cleric Says: "I can easily mend things with my magic, so damaging an object once and then repairing that damage should be fine for me"   Pog the Gnome Guard Says: "We can not leave our post until we are releaved" Says: "I see"   Galdor the Dwarf Cleric Says: "What I said before about creatures and hair, fur, nails applies outside of the object checking" Says: "May I walk up to you and cut off a bit of your hair?" Says: "Just a tiny bit"   Pog the Gnome Guard Says: "you need to come up the passage to the east here to get up here."   Galdor the Dwarf Cleric Galdor does so woah   Dolores: What surface thoughts did I detect in both of them?   Dungeon Master (GM): ok surface thoughts reveal suspicion of the party as having a shapchanger in their midst   Dolores: so both of them think that we might be shapeshifters?   Dungeon Master (GM): yes dolores   Dolores: if that's so then they're probably not shapeshifters   Galdor Brawnanvil: most propably I still go through with the check   Galdor the Dwarf Cleric Says: "Can you tell your friend about what I'm going to do"   Pog the Gnome Guard Says: "Yes", and he does so   Galdor the Dwarf Cleric Galdor proceeds to cut off a bit of their hair, just the tip from a few strands around the ear   Galdor Brawnanvil: why is he so far in the back   Dungeon Master (GM): [on each member of the party and in front of Pog & Ulla?]   Galdor Brawnanvil: first, the two gnomes then I'll go and perform the check on the party   Dungeon Master (GM): yes and you cut their hair without a problem Neither winches in pain, no one tries to attack anyone.   Galdor the Dwarf Cleric Says: "You two are fine" Says: "Oi, guys! Can you come here?!" Galdor performs the exact same check on the party   Dungeon Master (GM):ok and Pog & Ulla witnesses it all, so thus no one appears to be a shapeshifter.   Dolores the Human Wizard Says: "Maybe we all should stick together and test others?" Says: "But it's gonna be difficult to get past that crossbow room"   Sildar the Human Fighter Says: "Hmm, ok, seems no one winched in pain from the haircutting. So perhaps you are all ok then."   Galdor the Dwarf Cleric Says: "We would be better off, if one gnome stayed here with a couple of us" Says: "This room would then be guarded from entry, along with us not being attacked by a crossbow maniac"   Dolores the Human Wizard Says: "What if one of the gnomes comes with us, and one of us stays here." Says: "So other gnomes wouldn’t see us as a threat."   Galdor the Dwarf Cleric Says: "Literally what I said, but it would be better if more than one of us stayed here"   Dolores the Human Wizard Says: "I think one of us would do"   Pog the Gnome Guard Says: "Just cross the bridge and see if you can find Fibblestib and Dabbledob, they should likely be in the inventor's workshop"   Galdor the Dwarf Cleric Says: "We would have to worry less about this room and our party" Says: "Since we would be piling up bodies, if something bad happened to us as a group"   Dolores the Human Wizard Says: "Pog could come with us and Xar could stay here with the gnome to keep an eye out for the shapeshifter and test."   Pog the Gnome Guard Says: "I'm sorry but we can not do that. Just go find either of the two, I had mentioned, they should be helpful."   Galdor the Dwarf Cleric Says: "One of us should still stay here, to make this a completely blocked off point"   Galdor the Dwarf Cleric Says: "The rest of us should go and investigate the barrels, then the mushrooms and the kitchen"     Adventure Time is now May 22nd, at 9:00 am   And this ends the gaming session for the day, until next time!   The Adventurers’ Experience Points Earned This Session: 6 Redbrand ruffians (50 xp): 300 xp 300 / 5 = 60 XP each ----------   Grand Total Experience Points:   Everyone is at 3,162.84 XP  Level 5 reached at 6,500 XP!   Loot Found: None found   Number of Sessions for current Adventure Module: 36th Session for “Lost Mines of Phandelver / Dragon of Icespire Peak” 09/05/2020 [1st Session start was 08/15/2019]
