Name: Derakk Age: 34 Availability: PDT (4pm-6am) Thursday & Friday Experience: 3 years of D&D 5e, primarily as DM. What I Bring: I like to think of myself as a competent role-player who can do voices. As a player, I will never say "I roll for..." because I believe it's the DM's job to ask me to roll for anything (and my job to narrate my (re)actions). I bring a love for great stories and great storytelling, and will actively engage with the DM or other players to ensure that memorable moments can happen; moments that players will remember and re-tell time and time again. I am also an artist that frequently provides PC and NPC art for games. I will never miss a session except for an emergency. What I'm Not: I'm not looking to hog the spotlight in a game. I'm a player who looks to fill a certain role within a party, whether that's the leader (if needed), the nurturer, or the wildcard. I will never be "that guy" who actively disrupts a game, who isn't paying attention during combat, and who says "no" to adventure. I firmly believe that what makes an interesting character is their character ; the things that piss them off, the things that make them giddy, and the things that paint them in shades of gray. I do not believe race or subclass have anything to do with character, and certainly nothing to do with making a character interesting . What I'm Looking For: I'm looking for a group of serious RPers, who know the right moment for hi-jinks and the right moment for serious emotion, and who show up on time and ready to play. I like homebrew campaigns, but I generally try to avoid too many house-rules or any homebrew classes/races. I am a fan of all kinds of genres, but my preferences are Gothic Horror, High Fantasy, Grimdark, and Treasure Hunting.
