[LFG][D&D 5e] New Player Looking for a Group!

My timezone is Eastern Standard Time. I am available throughout the week, except for Fridays.  I have 6 years of roleplaying experience, but none involved DnD.  My age is 27 and I enjoy writing and creating roleplaying experiences.  A mic is available and I like to use a voice changer and sound effects to spice up the session, so hit me up if you're interested! (Note: My human's backstory is highly flexible and revisable. I could have him play as an Arcane Trickster or a Paladin depending on the tweaks we make. Even his starting level and character sheet can be adjusted.) Brief Summary of Horven’s Backstory.  A human who was raised in a noble family has everything taken from him. Orcs raided his village and slaughtered nearly everyone. He fled to the capital and trained with the knights to seek vengeance and justice. However, being a new trainee and sparing a starving thief, members of the thieves guild approached him and revealed undeniable proof of the kingdom's corruption, they even knew there was a great possibility for an orc invasion, but didn’t warn anybody. Horven immediately changed alliance and began working for the thieves guild. This is where his adventure begins.
I'm just gonna bump this.
Hey, Tyree I think it’s great that you are looking for a group, and I have no doubt you will find one soon. Good idea with a voice changer, by the way! However, you might want to consider condensing your backstory into a couple of paragraphs and then discuss it with your DM so that it can fit into the world. The backstory is a bit too hefty at the moment and I suspect that may turn some people off. Having said that, it seems you are prepared and willing to play, and that’s always a good thing. :-) Best regards, DM_AC
No problem! And thank you! I can get too caught up with my writing. So I may do a smaller summary.
Yeah, I would completely agree with DM_AC. 13 pages is WAY too much for any DM to realistically read, especially if and when they're receiving 30+ applications at a time. Honestly, you want it condensed to a single paragraph. Think of it as an elevator pitch for your character. Something it would take a DM 30 seconds to a minute to read, then if you get accepted, you can give the fully fleshed backstory. One other thing I would add though? Don't be too set on your character. For a start, you may find that a DM has a different way of doing stats or starting equipment and then your character sheet is pretty much useless. Also, your character sheet has a few issues that any experienced DM would pick up on at even a cursory glance (I can go through them with you if you'd like. PM me about it). Aside from that, your backstory simply might not fit the game setting and by going into detail about anything, you restrict the amount of games you could be invited in to. For example, I currently run a game that's set in a country that lost a major war and all the PCs are fighting in localised resistance. There's no Thieve's Guild, no major cities and, as such, you're character wouldn't even be considered because of everything you've wrote. Lastly, and this is a major mistake many players make, if your character has been a successful thief, stealing from kings and lords and nobles and whatever, then why would you be level 1? Or 2? The backstory and character don't fit together for a lower level campaign or for coming in at the start of one. Those are just my opinions, of course, but I want you to have the best possible chance of getting into a game. I wish you the best of luck on it. And feel free to PM if you have any questions.

Gotcha. Thank you for the input! The whole 13 pages aren't necessary to read. It's just a way for me to have something to refer to my character's history. I've made a quick one or two para summary and they aren't set in stone. I should probably mention that I'm flexible to change certain aspects to fit into DM's world. I'll be more than willing to tweak many things, I just don't have anything to refer to the DnD world.  For example, maybe I could have my character just getting started for an early, noobie DnD campaign or maybe something that would require more levels.  But yeah, you're definitely right. I had a feeling I was missing something. I'll be sure to correct this! Thank you!
Okay, I have removed the character sheet and the google document links. Made a smaller, straight to the point brief backstory that can be changed to suit the DM. Everything is changeable if it will help the DM. :D

I'm running a game saturday 11pst.  The party is overseeing the town of Midsburg, a research outpost established at the edge of the Spine mountain range.  Characters are 27 pt buy, starting at 10th level, all official and most homebrew races/class are allowed.  Interested?
Sure! I'd be interested! But I need to make sure. Is this DnD 5E or Pathfinder? I don't know much about the rules of Pathfinders even though I played Pathfinder Kingmaker. I'm not sure how different it'd be. If it's pathfinder, I need to learn the rules and have good understanding of the system.
Wow! Thank you very much! I really appreciate it! What a helpful community!
I'm also going to put forward a game offer for you. I run one on Thursdays at 7pm BST. Only 2 sessions in, so could very easily write in another character. Current party is composed of a Paladin, Fighter, Warlock and Monk, so definitely space available for a Rogue.
Sure! What campaign are you doing? I'll definitely be available for sessions!
