Tuesday 8/28/2018             The Daily Bugle includes an op-ed from the newspaper National Inquisitor by Akio Kawazu. He makes the claim that Cassandra Clemons, the Brooklyn Brigade’s main benefactor, Paladin, the group’s leader, and The Constable, a Brigade member, are all killers. He also claims that the Brigade killed Superman after they defeated him in Metropolis.             Cassandra very quickly has Ivy Pearl call Paladin. She wants to talk to him. A pair of Bruces are dispatched to bring him to her Long Island estate. The drive takes an hour.             While he is waiting for the car to arrive Marvel Girl tells him that she was aware of a bounty on his (Paladin’s) head that the Minutemen were trying to collect. Paladin asks her to see if her source can tell her more. MG places a call to her friend Toni Ramierez and learns that the bounty was placed by a European group, France most likely, that included demon worshiping cults and a group called Raven. Raven, according to Toni, is a clutch of the 24 most powerful vampires on Earth. The dollar figure ranges from $35,000 to $350,000 depending on Paladin’s condition when delivered.             Toni asks MG if Constable has an off switch as detailed in the police report. MG asks Constable who blows off the question. MG is also surprised to learn that Constable is a man in armor, she thought he was a robot.             At Cassandra’s Paladin learns her main concern about the newspaper article was that she is a suspect in her brother’s death. She wants the Brigade to find the real killer and clear her good name. Paladin asks that she use what influence she has to find everything about what her brother was up to prior to his disappearance and subsequent murder.             She says his body was pulled from the Hudson in such bad shape the cause of death was indeterminate but likely homicide. Which leaves Cassandra as 75% majority stock holder in Prometheus Medical Technologies and in control of the family fortune. She also tells Paladin Wade was the Crimson Knight, super hero, and it was his ‘hobby’ that probably got him killed.             Through the course of the conversation she asks Paladin if he wants to give INTERPOL his DNA and finger prints, he does not, and she tells him that someone in the Vatican is also helping prevent the US State Department to demand he surrender them.             When Paladin gets back to the Bunker he calls a team meeting, Kismet attends telepathically.   He (Paladin) brings the group up to date on the details involving his meeting with Cassandra. Constable comes up with a suggestion to outsource watching the Saiettas and the Hunting Bambi guys. He (Constable) suggests using a PI firm from outside the area. They considered Sachs and Violens of San Francisco. They declined because of the involvement of SPBs (Super Powered Beings) but recommended the PI firm: The Inferior Five.             One of the first questions put to the I5 was why they called themselves such a thing. Their leader, Merryman, said it was simply because all of them have been rejected by the Justice League for membership. The group consists of: Merryman (martial artist), Awkward Man (amphibious brick), Blimp (heavy-set slow flying surveillance expert who drops explosives from above), Dumb Bunny (super strong intellect-challenged woman who is impervious to mental powers (nothing to hit)), and lastly White Feather (marksman archer with lots of trick arrows).             They eagerly took the assignment! Constable provided them air travel from Fallon Nevada to New York where they will be spying on the Saiettas and Abe Harris (of Hunting Bambi). Constable is going to provide 5 ‘bugs’ (small, activated by sound, etc.) that will be placed at Bambi Hunting (the office and the hunting lodge), and the Saietta (Manfred’s car and Racks), with one to spare.             Sachs and Violens are hired to watch Max Barna, the owner of Hunting Bambi who lives in San Rafael, California).             Constable, using third parties, is preparing to start offering ‘bounties’ for pictures and stories of the teenage members of the Saietta family. This is to be a means of shacking up the teens and the family as a whole. (GM NOTE: While this was discussed I don’t this was implemented.)             Paladin thinks that they need a break from New York and sparring with the Saiettas and now the police. They decide to travel by RV to Cave City Kentucky to deal with the monsters who robbed a jewelry store.             That night Kismet reports to Racks to work in the Member’s Only Room. Dressed in arm and leg shackles, with a pair of crystal earrings (her mind link stone) she serves food and drinks to her customers. While she is ogled by the patrons of Racks she notices that Manfred is there and does not take his eyes off her.             As the night goes on she finds herself wanting to submit to Manfred every perverse whim. She shakes the impulse off but the desire to become his slave continues to grow stronger as the night progresses. When she finds herself slipping away Kismet claims she has a headache and wants to go home. Lacy (the owner, and boss) tells her is she leaves not to come back. Bruno, on Manfred’s behalf, barges into her the dressing room offers to give her a ride home. She declines the ride. Bruno does not leave, he watches her get dressed. He does tell her for someone who looks like a doll she has Moxie. Lacy gives her a envelop full of money for her share of tips, her pay, and generous severance pay. Lacy tells her that she thinks Kismet is making the right decision. Kismet goes to the hotel where she and her RA Sherry are staying while the Ghost Hunters are trying to exorcise the poltergeist that possesses her room. Sherry playfully considers going to work at Racks for the great pay but Kismet (Kaitlynn) talks her out of it. While Sherry is out getting popcorn for their movies Kismet (Kaitlynn) tells the Brooklyn Brigade about how her mind was being manipulated and how she had to quit working there. Kismet and the members of the Brigade are concerned about Manfred Saietta, Bruno, or someone close to them, is a powerful mentalist who gradually conquerors their prey. The question remains who might it be? Sherry comes back and they watch a variety of horror movie for a while. Wednesday 8/29/2018             Very early in the morning, 12:15AM, the RV arrives and they take their place in an RV park.             Kismet and Constable arrive through other means, by taking airfare, renting cars, and meeting the rest of the group in Cave City.             They head out and grab some breakfast and head to the police station. The flabbergasted desk sergeant calls Sheriff Levy.             They met up with Sheriff Levy. Levy tells them that the monsters who robbed Earl’s Gems are the same monsters that a couple of weeks ago saved a group of tourists who were trapped in Mammoth Cave. Sheriff Levy isn't too keen on the monsters being pursued but his job demands it. He is concerned that they might do it again and -we just can't cotton to that-. He suggests that maybe if the group could get the monsters to give the gold, silver, and precious stones back we can call bygones, bygones. The group agrees to that course of action. Sheriff Levy also told them to go to Ruth's Diner and mention his name. He will pick up lunch for the group (once).
