hey all. as title states, im looking for a fun chill group to experience DnD with, i would personally prefer a regular campaign from the official stuff! but can do homebrew too if the group is a good fit the reason being im new to dnd. ive read a bit and watched a bit. but im still new. and honestly truth be told im a bit unsociable and distant at first (once i open up im a chatterbox though) im just nervous and shy to meeting new people. hence ill prolly play a character dark and a lonely but after a awhile i personally wont fit the character. sure ill try to do match the character and what he personally knows and does but i still might mess up every now and then. i guess that just comes with experience. guess im rabbeling a bit (been drinking a bit, gave me courage!) wouldnt that be a funny item in the game. anywho im down for whatever (most likely a dungeon crawler one though) since like i said im nervous and roleplay will probably be fine but im just distant at first and probably wont get much into it until i feel comfortable. again sorry for the long post and rabbeling. looking forward to finding the perfect group to have fun with and smile so much it hurts my cheeks! :D
So, like, just a bit of a tip: if you, the player, are somewhat quiet and reserved, the last thing you should do is play someone else who is quiet and reserved, or--gods forbid--someone who is "dark and a lone wolf." Like, I totally get you needing time to warm up to people before you're more comfortable and feel more sociable. The thing is, though, if you play a character who doesn't want to talk to people, or who is otherwise quiet or silent or withdrawn... then the other characters are less likely to want to interact with yours. That's not to say that no one will, but if you, the player, and your character are both quiet... well, you can see how that might just make things more difficult, right? Of course, I'm not suggesting you need to play a character who is outgoing and the life of the party and a social butterfly. Just, you know, find a character who is willing to interact with others... perhaps they have a passion they love talking about? Depending on the setting or game, maybe the character is all about collecting unique beetles? or maybe they like to give everyone crocheted scarves? perhaps they love to talk about their pets, which may or may not be baby green dragons--how would the others know? The point I'm making is that while the comfort zone is, you know, comfortable, it's not always the best place to hang out in while trying new things and interacting with people you've never met before. Posting here? Good step out of that. Joining a group of people you don't know? A great step out! ...playing a character who is unlikely to want to talk to others? ...not really the direction you should be moving. ;-) Whatever you do, whomever you join, I hope you have a blast and tons of fun!!

quick tip for the socialbility side of things... look up the Kenku race ;) i am having so much fun with my *runaway Kenku* atm... its funny trying to get the party to read my mind/writing on paper... getting my words jumbled etc I have asberger syndrome and that's why i chose my kenku... and then... an hour into it we were hit by a telepathy spell and i would not *shut up* lol Also - i am starting a Wheel of Time Homebrew this saturday from 9pm GMT/BST (approx 2pm MST) Based **loosely** on the lore of the books and pre-history to the books - the other players are starting at level 5 and i am allowing **evolution** into hero classes and although everyone is starting at Neutral and above alignment (Light Campaign) there is room for alignment shift later on ;) Current PCs are Sorc/bard/paladin/monk - looking for a max of 1 > 2 more PCs ... Resrictions = humanoid only (human/elf/dwarf/etc) as only *humans* inhabit the world... so nothing like Dragonborn/Fae/Tabaxi etc and as i said you would be starting at level 5... also there is changes to the Names of currency to fit the lore as well buit they are still the *Same coins* (no values have been changed)
I would love to host something for you! DM me, and let's talk!
