The Collector is overall pleased with J.J.'s increased prowess in such a short time, and says as much. Lily, for her part, is praised for providing you with an improved sense of decorum (J.J. gets the sense that that is also a compliment for him, despite Lily getting credit for it). The Collector even dedicates a few minutes to comparing notes on recent events with J.J. His words somehow drag out more vivid memories than J.J. can normally call up on his own, and he get the sense that the Collector is watching those memories from the same perspective. During the recollection, he draws attention to several items J.J. encountered: the tome of the goblin spymaster, the ritual sword of one of the cultists that was found in the same pack with Lady Rowich's Egg, a charcoal left behind when the fire elemental smashed into a torch sconce, and a pair of silver-backed gloves one of the miners gifted to the party after pulling them from the will 'o wisp's cave. After your conversation and during rapier practice (guided by Lily, who is extremely frustrated that you can't fly during this process), Lily points out that for all your dedication of mind, you haven't actually taken anything to add to the Collector's collection. ((I don't know if J.J. is aware of this in-character yet or if you even want him to be, but the Collector collects "events", or rather, symbolic items representative of events, the more world-changing the better. If J.J. ever asks Lily about it, she'll be exasperated that he doesn't already understand that but she will explain it and she has a pretty good idea of what item in a given situation would count as symbolic. If you'd rather J.J. be in the dark about this that's fine too.))
