Hi folks! I'm excited for the next portion of our collective story to begin as we transition from Episode 5 to Episode 6. As should be clear by now--the world around the PCs is changing, even as the influence that the PCs exert on the shape of their world continues to advance. Episode 6 is long, by which I mean, there is an underlying structure that the PCs may choose (or may not, as you decide) to follow that extends far into the PCs' future. The material I have in mind to include in Episode 6 likely could advance the PCs to level 13 or beyond--clearly, quite a bit longer than any of the "Episodes" thus far! Along the way, it's very likely that the story will take the PCs ever further afield to new locations, featuring new challenges and new NPCs, and have them explore distant parts of the continent of Khorvaire and beyond. I wanted to take the opportunity to invite you all again to provide your input on elements you'd like to see included in our story as we continue. As you've seen so far, I make a point of trying to include character backstories and elements of interest in our story. In my view, that's the "good stuff" of roleplaying--the collaborative storytelling that other gaming and pastimes simply cannot provide. As we've hopefully seen, while it may take time for those story elements to surface, their inclusion makes for some of the best moments in the game. So you know, I have some ideas for story elements in Episode 6 that may draw in more of Kodiak's and Sedriss's backstories; and, to be sure, we'll see continued development of some of the story elements that have already appeared for Thornduk, Sonn, Tari, Gnipity, and Vellios. If there are particular things you'd like to see us explore as we proceed, let me know! Please feel free to respond here or send a private message. One last, related note: I'm happily beginning a new job on Monday, where I expect to be much busier. With any luck, I should be able to continue to devote the time and effort to keep our game at a high level. If things begin to get too stressful or conflicted along the way, I'll beg this group's indulgence if I need to ask for some postponed sessions--hopefully not necessary, but just wanted everyone to be aware. Best, Koop
