Take a trip to the world of Thylea and become part of an epic tradition of heroes. The Titans are stirring - who else can stop them but the fabled Dragonlords? Odyssey of the Dragonlords is a module for 5e by Arcanum Worlds, with a focus on blending classical mythology with the tropes of a D&D game. The characters are either outsiders or natives to Thylea, an isolated continent where gods walk among the people and oaths are more binding than chains. As disaster threatens to strike the kingdoms of mortals, the Oracle speaks of chosen heroes that might yet undo the calamity . . . While the campaign can run from levels 1-20, I intend to focus on the first section of the adventure comprising levels 1-14. This is an adventure about playing Heroes with a capital H, not mercs for hire. Brushing up on the Illiad, the Clash of the Titans, God of War, and Assassin's Creed Odyssey is all recommended to get into the headspace of a Thylean adventurer. This is a story about mortals seeking fame, glory, and power beyond their wildest imaginings. Roleplay and storytelling is a priority in this campaign! Combats will be run in a fast, fluid, and exciting manner as befitting the epics we're taking inspiration from. I take each adventure module as a solid foundation from which our own story can grow. This game has the potential to discuss themes of colonization and racism, but I intend to run a table where all players feel safe. Consider this a PG-13 content advisory. We intend to run games weekly on Thursdays, 8 PM EST. You can experience the first two sessions free to determine if you like my style and want to keep running with the group! This game will require payment to the Game Master at a rate of $8 USD per player each session, payable either at the start of the month or after each individual session. Roll20 is not responsible for any payment transactions and cannot enforce any private arrangements.
