10:00 am Today’s session starts after the
Mimic was seen out of Gnomengarde, after having to go down a 20 ft ledge, south
of where Facktoré the gnome, was frantically just trying to protect herself by
working the crossbow contraption she invented. The adventurers then head back
to the Kings Gnerkli and Korboz’s master bedroom to tell them of the news and
see if they have anything to help them fight dragons. Once there King Gnerkli lets
them inside and the party tells the Kings that the mimic was found and escorted
out of Gnomengarde. For their effort the adventurers are given two magical
items: Hat of Wizardry Wondrous item,
common (requires attunement by a wizard)
This antiquated, cone-shaped hat is adorned with gold crescent moons and stars.
While you are wearing it, you gain the following benefits:
·
You can use the hat as a spellcasting focus for your wizard
spells. ·
You can try to cast a cantrip that you don’t know. The cantrip
must be on the wizard spell list, and you must make a DC 10 Intelligence
(Arcana) check. If the check succeeds, you cast the spell. If the check fails,
so does the spell, and the action used to cast the spell is wasted. In either
case, you can’t use this property again until you finish a long rest. Wand of Pyrotechnics Wand, common This
wand has 7 charges. While holding it, you can use an action to expend 1 of its
charges and create a harmless burst of multicolored light at a point you can
see up to 60 feet away. The burst of light is accompanied by a crackling noise
that can be heard up to 300 feet away. The light is as bright as a torch flame
but lasts only a second. The
wand regains 1d6 + 1 expended charges daily at dawn. If you expend the wand’s
last charge, roll a d20. On a 1, the wand erupts in a harmless pyrotechnic
display and is destroyed. King Gnerkli, offers the
adventurers to stay overnight and enjoy a good dinner with them. King Korboz, mentions that the
party can sleep in the gnomes sleeping chamber. Dolores then goes off to read the Gnomegarde
spellbook, of which she was able to memorize, spells from. The rest of the party and the
Kings go to try and calm down Factoré, who was using the multi-crossbow
contraption she invented, to keep everyone away because of the mimic trouble. They got her calmed down enough
that she then let the Kings pass one by one while hugging the walls, to get to
the kitchen area. Once in the Kitchen the Kings tell the cooks to prep up 6
more meals for the adventurers. Meanwhile the adventurers relax
and mingle with the gnomes for a while then have dinner. Dolores pays King Korboz 25 gp
for copying 3 of the 1 st level spells: Detect Magic, Magic Missile &
Sleep, into her own spellbook. Percentile dice were rolled to see if the fee
would be half normal (25 gp) or Free for helping the Gnomes and a 46% was
rolled. Their dinner was a juicy slab of
venison and some greens and red, green & purple mushrooms with green
mushroom bread and a mushroom wine. The next morning the adventurers
decide to head back to Umbrage Hill, to re-check on the midwife &
apothecary Adabra Gwynn, whom is also a cleric of Chauntea, the goddess of
agriculture. It is an 8 hour trip. Once there the adventurers see
that she is alright and that the manticor nor his mate have come back to bother
her. Meanwhile, Roqar, is to thinking that there is a thing going on between
Harbin Wester, the town master of Phandalin and Adabra, because he insists on
her returning to Phandalin but Adabra assures her there is not and still will
not return to the town. The adventurers learn that the cairns on the hill near
the windmill are the graves of dwarves that fought a pitched battle long ago.
And it gets Galdor to thinking that it was likely against the dwarves of
Abbathor, the dwarven god of greed. The party spends overnight
sleeping on the 3 rd floor of the windmill that houses the gears that
also turns the mill grinder on the first floor. During this time they encounter
a small mouse, when it tries to sniff Dolores, whom pushes the mouse away. Roqar, on the otherhand lets the
mouse sniff her, holding out her hand. The mouse then runs to an open space and
transforms into a wood elf druid female named Yuuki Amakiir. When daybreak arrives, the
adventurers and Yuuki again try to convince Adabra to return to Phadalin,
warning of the green & white dragons, the Cragmaw Goblin tribe, the Many
Arrows Orc tribe and the Redbrands gangsters. However, Adabra still insist to
stay so that she can supply the town with food and medicine. Yuuki, decides to join up with
the adventurers on their travels and departs with them back to Phandalin,
hiking for about 8 hours. Back in Phandalin, they visit
Harbin Wester the town master, at the town hall, to inform him of the magical
items received in Gnomengarde and of the mimic trouble they got rid of there
and that Adabra is still ok but still will not return to Phandalin. Harbin
offers the party (Still talking through the door, due to paranoia over the
green and white dragons), 50 gold pieces for any magical item from the gnomes
that they do not want.
