On the eighth night of Uktar the party, loaded with dragon hoard treasure and accompanied by Mccath the Crimson of the Hosttower, sailed away from Oyaviggaton on board the Frostskmmr. They headed south to return Mccath and themselves to Waterdeep. The trip took 12 days in total. During this trip Varis received a sending from Fodel Marsk , his mentor in Neverwinter, with some information regarding his status as a fugitive. As the days wore on Naivara learned the book she had secreted from Mccath's stash was giving her dream-visions at night of the elemental planes. These dream-visions forced a connection between her and the elemental princes of evil, but left her more and more exhausted every morning. Eventually her companions noticed and were able to remove the curse from her, severing the elemental princes' grasp on her and allowing her to rest and recover properly. They arrived at Waterdeep on the 20th of Uktar. Mccath was escorted to the palace, and along the way the group noticed Wanted Posters for Varis which claimed he was wanted not just for murder, but also for slights against the Open Lord. Members of the Watch seemed to recognize Varis and followed him, but due to some good disguise work by Rhogar and a very confusing web of lies told by Halle and Naivara, the immediate crisis was averted. Over the next couple days each member met with their respective Factions to fill them in on what had transpired in the Sea of Moving Ice. Remi Haventree of The Harpers informed Naivara what they had learned so far about her daughter's travels with an Elven Ranger named Cylanestriel . The Xanathar was very impressed with the gold Varis and Rhogar brought back for him, and even happier that Captain Half-Face had been found. Lady Laerl Silverhand of The Lord's Alliance was asked by Halle about how to re-forge the broken dragonslayer sword, which turned her attention to that task and away from what she had planned to tell him. Ontharr Frume of the Order of the Gauntlet informed Titus that his paladins had heard rumors of Lord Volmer's appearance south of Dragonspear castle, due to some clashes between the fiend and the Paladins of Eltruel . Liv informed Titus that she would no longer accompany them on their travels. Through her dreams Valadras was guiding her towards the temple of Lathandar , so she will go and spend time there to try and understand Lathandar's plans for her. Halle's brother Frederick visited him to gloat about how well his fortunes had turned ever since Halle left and he finally got that meeting with the Open Lord of Waterdeep,  Lord Neverember . Now that he was in the Open Lord's circle everything was working out as it should. He invited Halle to visit his place sometime, and bring his friends too, since it was so much nicer than that Elrevien Mansion hovel. Titus donated 1,000 gold through the Order of the Gauntlet to be distributed to those who have suffered from the Cult of the Dragon. The party has had nine days of downtime in Waterdeep, but the winds of change are beginning to blow for them once again...
