Player dragging token onto board does not keep AC and HP, but when DM does it works

I am having issues with one character not keeping AC and HP linked when the player drags the character onto the map. It works when I (the DM) does, but not the player. All other characters in this game do not have this problem. I have checked and rechecked and done and redone the process to link the character sheet to the token. I have done this process a dozen times or more, and yet, it links when I drag the character, but not the player. If anyone has a fix for this I would be forever grateful, as it takes time out of my game when I have to troubleshoot this. My player has to either wait for me to drag the character on, or they have to input everything directly, which wouldnt be an issue until we are switching maps and the HP doesnt carry over because it isnt linked.

Is the player definitely copying the same character onto the map that you are copying? Is he copying the character directly to the map, or copying an image onto the map?

A common cause of this is the player dragging their token onto the board from the character sheet and not the Journal Tab. A token dragged from the sheet is just an unlinked graphic. Make sure that they have a token that is represents a character, and that the default token for the character was set after all the set up was done. Finally, edit the character to ensure that they have both edit/control permissions and that the characer is set to show in their journals (these are two different permissions settings). If they drag a properly set up token from the journal tab, the issue should go away. 

The player is copying the same character, using the journal (as far as I am aware). The token represents their character, and the default token was set after the set up was done (ive double and triple checked). The player also has both edit and control permissions, and it appears in their journals. Ill let them know to see if it works if they drag the token from the journal tab instead of the character sheet, since I do not know exactly where they are dragging from.

Ok, I just checked with the player, they were dragging from the character sheet. There was some miscommunication somewhere between us. Thanks for the help!
