So i just got the DMs starter bundle and the Essentials kit compendium is missing. This is concerning as iv seen another post from 9 months ago with the same problem

Have you checked in your Campaign Settings => Compendium Settings to see if it's enabled? Or is it showing up there as Not Available? Is there any difference if  you start a fresh game?
