Brand new to DND and looking to learn

Hello, I am brand new to the Dungeons and Dragons game and am looking to meet some people who have the patience to teach someone how to play. I have been interested in playing for a while, but haven't known anyone in my personal life who play. If there is a group who would take me on it would be much appreciated

Hey there. OK, I'm just gonna flat out say it, I'm going to offer you a long term game since your two offers so far are a one shot or a game with a character forced on you (nobody wants that, lol). So, I'm looking to do an interest check to see if there are enough people interested in a beginner's campaign. Not 100% on what homebrew campaign I'm going to run (debating between 3 at the moment), but all will be longer campaigns and all 18+.
