User Profile Achievement Icons Downgrade and Suggested Fix

The new user profile Achievement Icons look absolutely horrible, in my opinion. Why was it deemed necessary to 'fix' what was not broken? From an objective point of view, the new Achievement Icons look very similar to one another - much less distinct than the old ones. It would be nice to go back to the old Achievement Icons, but that might be too much to ask. So, I will make this request: Please give a user the option - a switch on the account page - that toggles between their user profile displaying the ugly new Achievement Icons, and the beautiful old Achievement Icons. So, a user would have control of which version of Achievement Icons are displayed on their user profile, and seen by everyone else. Thanks, Greg

I miss the old look too. 

I find it bizarre that they even spent time on it.  I have never seen it asked for on any forum. Why not spend time on the dozens of really good suggestions that have been around for years, rather then try and "fix" something that wasnt broken and not asked for?? Very odd.

I'm assuming it is part of the revamp of the look of the site in general (like the marketplace revamp). I expect that whoever is working through this stuff isn't working on anything else. While I don't mind them changing, the old icons were at least clear to see.  Even if you didn't always know exactly what they meant.  The new ones are just blobs of color that don't seem to give much hint to what they are until you hover over them.
