Belle Venture), and August 29th, 9:30 am on day 31 on the isle. The adventure party undergoes a bit of re-organizing by King
Coal, after he informs the mongrelfolk to continue to do the yuan-ti’s
biddings. Several of the old party are now to be laying low, disguised as
mongrelmen, as they go about their area of the Forbidden City. In walks a beautiful elf maiden named Aratheas who Says, "Greetings all, So I see the
mongrelfolk has a new King! Ha Ha Ha! I must say I was impressed by the win.
Now maybe I can get the hell out of this city!" Aratheas, goes on to explain that she was part of a group that
was sent into the Forbidden City to look into what was going on and that she is
now the last surviving member of that party. She is laying low among the
mongrelmen, looking for a way out of the city, since she can’t visit Horan to
get a pass, without getting imprisioned or killed. King Coal, mentions that maybe he can be of some help in getting
Aratheas, out of the city, now that he is King, with or without Horan’s
blessing. Aratheas tells the mongrelfolk that are present to leave, so
that pressing matters could be discussed farther. Aratheas, tells King Cole to make the mongrelmen fear him or he
will constantly be missing things, saying she uses her magics to keep them at
bay. King Coal, lets members of the new party have his magical items,
as do retired members of the former party. The new party decides to head to Horan, disguised as merchants wanting
to set up trade in the city, so that they can come and go freely. Everyone then
relaxes in King Coal’s abode, (Which he sees, needs drastically cleaned up and
repaired, to the point it may as well be rebuilt from scratch.), for a couple
hours. That’s when a mongrelman guard, comes frantically running into
the abode, alarming King Coal, that there is trouble in the kitchen! The
adventures, head out and follow the panicked guard to the kitchen area to see
that a rather large bristling hedgehog is chowing down on some fruits. The
kitchen itself consists of, several fire-pits, a large pot, hanging carcasses,
and dried fruits. The meats are fly-covered, possibly rotting and might have
once been any creature. Zhora,
is eager to have the beast for a meal, and nocks an arrow into her composite
short bow and aims. She
is told to hold off as Dalnoth tries to use his Charm Person or Mammal spell on
the creature first. The giant hedgehog saves against the spell, rolling a 16
needing ≥ 14. Then Camlin tries to
hold sway over the animal, a basic ranger class ability. A save vs rod is used
for this case and 18 is rolled needing ≥ 13. So the creature saves
again. Now,
Camlin tries to hold sway over the giant hedgehog, the creature rolls a save vs
rod, rolling 4 needing ≥ 13. Camlin, gets the
creature to leave after it scoops up another mouthful of fruit, exiting via the
huge hole in the wall it created to break into the kitchen area. Zhora
is like, “Oh no, it’s meat. Not a pet!”. Dalnoth has a look beyond where the
creature came and went to see only ruins with jungle overgrowth beyond. Lo Shan
tells the mongrelman guard to get others and get the wall repaired and he
hurries off to do just that. Zhora,
is to thinking that the giant hedgehog should be caught in a snare and she will
teach them how to jerk meat, so that they can have fresh meat to eat and spends
time to do just that. After
that it is about 1:30 pm when the party decides to head over to Horan’s
compound in order to meet or set up a meeting with him. [NOTE:
At this point we had trouble with the Horan’s Compound Map, loading in, so the
session ends here.] The
map is now currently loading and everything working properly aside of the
newfound glitch dealing with none of the dice roll macros working as the strength
ability stat’s bonuses for the “To Hit” and “Damage”, are not going into the
attribute’s calls and being added into the roll total! This
is happening when you make the roll from the weapons “To Hit” Rolls sub menu
from the macro button bar, on the sheet when you click on the to hit and damage
rolls on the ‘computerized’ part of the sheet and directly from the macro roll
under the attributes and abilities tab, and also from the Dungeon Master’s
