Real Confusion with Advantage vs Disadvantage Toggle

Okay so I was running a game, and there was a bit of argument on an attack roll. The situation was, a player accidentally had advantage toggled and rolled with advantage even though it was a regular attack which is all good and fine. The roll was a 21 & a 7. Normally you read left to right if you didnt have toggle on, so ex a 10 & 11 is rolled. You take the 10 because its left to right. But with disadvantage and advantage toggle it highlights whichever number is lower or higher, I was saying that it would be the 7 because the number rolled was supposed to be normal which it wasnt an advantage attack roll. Am I still supposed to be reading it left to right as if the toggle wasnt switched on? Or does roll20 switch the order if one number was higher due to advantage and vise versa with disadvantage? I dont want to keep making that mistake in the future, and then make the overall environment of the game not great over something as stupid as this.

The first roll, {{r1}} is always output on the left when two rolls are made. So yes, if Advantage is accidentally left on you should be taking the left roll, as that is the one that would be displayed if the template was set to "normal" and only showed one roll, {{r1}}.
