Is theming your tabletop rpg allowed?

Hello, I'm new here. I hear its common for players of games like D&D to theme their games (like Wild West or Avatar: The Last Airbender). Is that allowed or does roll20 place restrictions on that?

Roll20 doesnt (and in fact cant) restrict what you do in your games in any way. If you're using a character sheet (and most of us do), you cant easily alter that (so things like changing skill or stat names is often not possible), but in terms of actually playing the game, you can do whatever you want.

I've played both on here, D&D in the wild west, and ran an Avatar: Last Airbender inspired RPG. So yes you can do that! No problems
