Dwarves are by nature clannish and are based around a monarchy.     The Dwarven  King sits on the throne in Musheldur; Hisdarihm is led by a Lord Mayor that is elected by the various clan heads; the leader of Oroford is a Governor appointed by the Dwarven King.   By tradition, when a dwarf is made clan leader, they assume the name of their clan as their surname. Musheldur is the hereditary home of the mountain dwarves and is divided into two 2 major clans.     Heftisug is the ruling Clan, which the the monarch of the dwarves come from.   They have have ruled over the other clans for just over 300 years, coming to power during the first Demon Wars.  Their Motto:  Sharing Enlightenment Dalgal Heftisug, Male Mountain Dwarf Description: A man with a cold, calculating air about him, he wears a yellow coat over a green low-cut shirt, and a feathered hat upon his head.. With a patchy white beard and wild white hair. He wears round tiny glasses practically rammed into his face. Personality: He is a noble king first and foremost. He believes firmly that knowledge should be universal and shared. He constantly seizes attention wherever he goes and has come to expect this respect from everyone. He likes to think of himself as merciful, but nonetheless is very strict.   She discretely worships Dugmaren Brightmantle, god of scholarship, discovery, and invention.   Dalgal is very cynical and non-materialistic.    He is always seems to be sharpening her axe.   He never surrenders and does not believe in retreating.   He sporadically uses long words to sound smart.   He has lost many friends. Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs; and his religion dominates his actions of sharing knowledge, invention and constantly discovering new things to further Dwarves' s knowledge of technology.  Severinwin was the original ruling clan.  It fell upon hard times during the first demon wars.  Betrayals, inept leadership, and infighting plagued the clan.  Finally, the other clans cast a vote of no confidence and Clan Severinwin had to voluntarily step down from the throne and leadership of the dwarves.   Though the clan retains a vast amount of influence and connections, they have settled peacefully into the position of the second greatest clan.   Their Motto is: Explore, Dream, Discover Morgran Severinwin, Male Mountain Dwarf Description: He very much looks the part of a Shepherd. His skin is fair and his fingers are delicate and long. His black hair is long and unkept. He tend to wears goggles to shield his eyes.    Personality: He likes to brag about his accomplishments and constantly tries to beat others to the punch. Flattery will make him almost putty in your hands.  He zealously worships Moradin, God of dwarves.   He is always serene and very obstinate.   He always has a good ale at hand.   He intermittently uses long words to sound smart.    Morgran knows all the gossip around town. Hisdarihm  is the great hall of various lesser clans of Mountain and Hill Dwarves.   Every 25 years, the clans of Hisdarihm hold a great clan gathering and from the meeting a new Lord Mayor is elected.    No clan can hold the position of Lord Mayor for 2 consecutive terms.  Ao Naland: In Hope Country Reirak Ao Naland, Male Hill Dwarf Description: He is excellent shape and is dressed in an above average manner. His hair is cut close to his head. He has gleaming, smiling violet eyes. Personality: He is quite rude, and likes to deride his opponents skill and shout insults at them. His home and work are filled with various knick knacks he has acquired through the years. He cares a great deal for his adopted teenage daughter.     He quietly worships Vergadain, god of trade, wealth, negotiation, luck, trickery, and chance.   He has an even temper and is very courageous, to a fault.  He always has a good ale at hand.   Reirak sporadically talks aloud to his god and wears a lot of beautiful jewelry. History: He was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Armorer. He struck the Armorer job and began his own company from there. Atlizol: In Determination Fate Thorin Atlizol, Male Hill Dwarf Description: He is an attractive Dwarf, lean and moderately muscular. He wears tight fitting pants and leather jackets. He usually doesn't wear a shirt. He has styled his black hair well, parting it to the right. He has a dull look in his hazel eyes.   Personality: He is quite rude, and likes to deride his opponents skill and shout insults at them. He is cautious and jumpy. He reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.  He quietly worships Thard Harr, god of survival, hunting, and nature.   He is always ironic.  He is very courageous, to a fault.   He idolizes a religious hero that was well known adventurer.   He inherited a creepy haunted house.   He occasionally quotes proverbs. History: A powerful wizard made him what he is  and sent him from mercenary job to mercenary job. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward that he never received from the wizard. Motivation: To unite with his brother; and he is terrified, and will act out of fear Dun Eigapug Better Lives through Spell craft Gimurt Dun Eigapug, Male Mountain Dwarf Description: A man of a pale complexion, he wears a large hat to cast shadows over his face and wears ponchos to better hide his body. He keeps his silver hair in a flapper bob. He was beautiful and young once, which still shows through his age, but it is a faded beauty. Personality: Gimurt is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. He works hard and plays hard.   He discretely worships Moradin, God of dwarves.   He is very selfish and is very good at keeping secrets.   Gimurt harbors a deep hatred of orcs and goblins.   He will never say no to a duel.   Gimuty disregards poorer people and looks down upon them.   He constantly runs everywhere instead of walking. History: He comes from a rich southern family. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family.  Rather than risk reprisal he ended the his career as a physician and started a career as a politician. He over the years left a trail of broken hearts and full pockets wherever he goes. Motivation: He is greedy. Dun Estagarl: Virtue And Sword Torbera Estagarl, Female Hill Dwarf Description: This petite short woman is perpetually holding a beer of some kind. She wears a simple burlap shirt and baggy pants. She conceals her dagger with her veritable burlap sack of a shirt, marred by beers. Her hair is red and curly. Her violet eyes have a joyful gleam in them most of the time. Personality: She likes to be helpful to her clients. She likes to prescribe proper advice to her clients. She is submissive, is generally bored by everything, but will take part in whatever people ask of her. She is by nature obliging.   She discretely worships Moradin, God of dwarves.  She is always very calm and self-confident.   She considers everyone else as idiots and likes to swim in free time. History: She got into the Cook business at a young age. From there she went from training and working at various restaurants, until she opened up her own upscale restaurant.  One night she noticed a nearby shooting star which she hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. She has done her utmost to repair it but it is currently non-functional. Motivation: She feels the way she acts is they only way to get by in the world; and she has passion for food and to make others happy.  Dun Skepialig:  Virtue Calls Us Nora Dun Skepialig, Female Mountain Dwarf Description: She wears a blue vest and prefers black and tan shirts. Her boots appear to have been at one point steel toed but are quite worn down. She has black hair. Her face is scarred and worn.    Personality: She hates Dwarves with a passion, she feels that the dwarvish nation made too many concessions to the elves and that it left them in a weakened political position.    As such she is filled with self loathing. She is accommodating to her spouse and as such limits her hospitality. She is brave and levelheaded in the face of danger and has proven herself a capable leader.    She discretely worships Moradin, God of dwarves.   She is quick to forgive, but she also can't stand laziness.   Nora misses the world as she imagines it to have been before the Demon and Elvish wars.    She used to be bullied as a child and learned to fight so that it wouldn't happen again.    She argues about everything. History: She was born in the north, but her parents moved at a very young age to the south. She took every job she could get her hands on, but the opportunities for Dwarves in the south were limited, she found a love for shoemaking and became a well known cobbler and head of their guild. Motivation: She'd like to take her competitors down a peg; and further expansion of business Dun Treifayhusl:  Beacon of the North Torbera Dun Treifayhusl, Female  Mountain Dwarf Description: She wears silk and lounges about seductively. She has a slight overbite and is overall scrawny. Her hair is long and golden with streaks of blonde, and is pulled back with small brown clips. Her brown eyes show the wear and tear of someone lonely with a great burden to carry.    Personality: Stoic and calm, she prefers to meditate than take action. She enjoys reading and quiet.  She discretely worships Moradin, God of dwarves.   She easily holds grudges and rarely speaks.   She sporadically quotes her father. History:  Her parents enrolled her in a Aristocrat school at a young age so that she could practice her necromantic talents. She bought a spear and has really upped her game hunting, due to her understanding of decoy and ambush.   Her love of travel has made her a the leading cartographer among the dwarves.    Motivation: She loathes her own lifestyle of privilege and enjoys traveling around the continent.  Estagef:  Beacon in the darkness, light of hope Torgga Estagef, Female  Mountain Dwarf Description: She wears tight fitting pants and leather jackets. She usually doesn't wear a shirt. She has relatively dark skin and is very physically imposing due to her abundance of muscles. With wild black hair. Her violet eyes dart around the room hyper actively observing anyone and anything. Personality: Deceptive and manipulative this dwarven female has figured out how to best use her charms to convince people to do what she wants. She uses her natural beauty and charms as a weapon; she enjoys to lead opponents to think her in distress and helpless.   She  discretely worships Hanseath, god of war, carousing, alcohol.   She always goes straight to the point, and dislikes people that make a lot of small talk.    She often has a good ale at hand.   She is very curious and likes to know how things work.  She sporadically misquotes proverbs. History:  As a child of a trapper, who enjoyed hunting, Torgga was taken on many hunting expeditions. From there she became a mercenary for hire.  She would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.  As she grew older, she became a bit more civilized, and settled down to become furrier like her father.  Frithfinnurzulkn:  We can, we will, we did Audhild Frithfinnurzulkn, Female Hill Dwarf Description: This woman wears professional attire, and sports empty pouches on her belt. Her white hair is long and unkept. Her gray eyes are desperate and heavily lidded.  Personality: She is erratic and slightly paranoid. She believes gnolls are coming to abduct people. A true patriot, Audhild would do anything for her country. She is fiercely protective of her fellow citizens and foreign allies.   She fervently worships Moradin.  She acts on impulse, yet is a  perfectionist.   She occasionally gives money to the poor.   She dreams of becoming rich and famous. History: Born in the north her family was never financially stable. A few years later when the east was not economically sound they moved to her current location. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual. Gurlikund:  One house, one family Rurik Gurlikund, Male Hill Dwarf Description: This Dwarf is moderately tanned and has just the faintest trace of an accent. He dresses like a well dressed merchant does. His brown hair is greying along the sides and has receded to reveal a widow's peak. He wears large thick round spectacles. Personality: Aside from being a little slow due to sleep deprivation he is generally quite perceptive. He notices little details and can draw good conclusions from them. He refers to his adoptive father for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.  He discretely worships Moradin.   Rurik is very even temper and  is very quick to trust other people.  Rurick tends to always does what he is told not to. History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. A serious injury left his father unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm father. He now owns his own business flourishing business as a highly respected merchant. Hurfazung:  Love And Memory Uraim Hurfazung, Male Hill Dwarf Personal[hide] Description: This exceptionally lanky man prefers to wear flannel. His auburn hair is greasy and uncared for. His violet eyes are passionate and lively.  Personality: Uraim hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate him. It was this clingy personality that held back his painting career. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard.  Those that have not proved themselves to Uraim, most people, are always suspect to their motives.  Uriam is not modest  in his opinion of others and hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Uraim is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.  He zealously worships Moradin.   He hates fair play, and believes that one should play to win no matter the cost.   He is very optimistic and occasionally uses long words to sound smart.   Uraim reads every book he comes across. History: He was raised in a among one of the border clans. Over the years he perfected his riding and shooting skills. He is a highly trained stone mason by trade. Lusdrorli :Determination Chose The Strong Ones Urshar Lusdrorli: Female Mountain Dwarf Description: She is lean but muscular and wears a robe, a symbol of the four houses of cards around her neck, and a warhammer on her belt. She wears a Stetson hat to cover her moderate length blonde hair. She has brown eyes.   Personality: Abrasive and pushy, she has a hard time making friends. She is ready at a moment's notice to give into her darker urges. She is a real pyromaniac and does not care who the fire hurts. She often ends up burning people alive in the fires she starts.   Urshar feels that fire purfies, thus by killling her enemies by fire is cleansing them.   She discretely worships Tharmekhûl, demigod of the forge and molten rock, as well as war.   She is very impatient and  self-confident.    She is also curious about socio dynamics in other cultures.   Secretly, she wants to become the ruler of the city. History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Urshar grew up listening to her father's many stories. She inherited a moderately successful carpentry business,  from her father. Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. She sorcerer, specializing in evocation.   Motivation: Obtaining odd cultural Dwarven artifacts is her passion; and she will attempt to ambush and attack anyone she thinks she can take on alone and without anyone noticing.   Liostajurk:  Free to Speak My Mind Hlin Liostajurk, Female Hill Dwarf Description: She is a small woman, but exceptionally fit. She wears a simple red robe with violet stripes complete with hood. Her black hair is smooth and relatively long. She has violet eyes. Personality: She considers herself a woman of culture and sophistication. She likes a good challenge to her wits. She believes the world needs to unite to get rid of illithids once and for all.  She doesn't worship any god.   She will always prioritize the needs of other people, even to her detriment.   She has little self-confidence.   She doesn't like her profession, has always dreamed of becoming a highly respected musician.   She inherited a farm.   She enjoys the role of a socialite and helps establish up local events and fairies. History: Born in the north, her family was never financially stable. She moved out south to avoid the crimes she committed. Recently she has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.   She funnels money from her criminal activities through her farm, thus making her fortune look legitimate.   Motivation: She possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal back from her. Maurtung:  We are the Warrior Poets Taklinn Maurtung, Male  Mountain Dwarf Description: The Dwarf speaks with an almost imperceptible accent and  wears a faded coat with loose pants complete with feathered hat. His long white hair reaches down to his waist. His skin is flawless and his amber eyes scan people very quickly. Personality: He is quiet and unassuming. He ignores others and carries on with his job as a Carpenter unassumingly. More though he will beg to come along on any journeys. He will attempt to stowaway on any ship he can in the hopes that it will get him further away.  He quietly worships Vergadain, god of trade, wealth, negotiation, luck, trickery, and chance.   Taklinn  always seems very calm.   He enjoys wearing  fancy spectacles.    History: Taklinn hails from a village terrorized by orcs. At a young age he wooed the heart of his future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. He now owns his own business, a thriving bakery, whose goods are sold as far a Shackled City. Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and many orcs want him driven away because of his campaigning to kill them off and driving them out of Dwarven lands. Oddvahef: Faith carries us, faith protects us Artin Oddvahef, Female Hill Dwarf Description: A scrawny woman, she very clearly needs to put on some weight, but she still maintains a decent amount of muscle. She is wearing dark clothing and a heavy breastplate, keeping many of her physical features obscured. She wears her auburn hair up in a very large beehive style do. Her eyes are likewise blue. Her teeth are white and perfect. Personality: Eccentric and domineering, Artin will drive conversation. She cannot resist a sob story and will often dote over anyone who has one.  She openly worships Moradin, God of dwarves.   Artin is very competitive and talks loudly.   Artin is always making jokes, even at the most inappropriate times.    History: The child of a  western villages, she idolized her mother. One day when Artin was young, her mother was sewing while trying to overcome the flu, when suddenly her mother dropped to the ground dead. Her mother had died from a severe disease that was unknown to the village doctor. Artin was heart-stricken from the event, and her father started working long hours to provide for them. She has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, constantly expanding her business.   She is now one of the top clothiers and seamstresses among the dwarves.   Steinfinnurfil:  In Compassion and Fate Oriff Steinfinnurfil, Female Mountain Dwarf Description: This southern dwarfs face is deformed and paralyzed on one side. As such, she slurs her words together. She wears a tight fitting black shirt and pants. Her hair is greying and her face has many wrinkles. Judging by the bloodshot nature of her eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine she has not slept for days.  Personality: In the realm of puns, she cannot help herself. She feels obliged to make them. She does not believe in violence as a means to an end. She is a dedicated Sage but believes her peers are too gung-ho in pushing outlandish outdated theories.    She quietly worships Thautam, god of magic, secrets and mysteries.   Oriff acts on impulse and is very is materialistic.    She lies poorly on purpose to see how intelligent the person she is talking to is and if they can uncover her lies. History: She was born into a rich family. She sought a place where she would be rewarded solely on the merits of her skills. This search led her directly into Sage work with an outfit from a few towns over, she eventually moved .  Sage work suited her well, and with each successful project, she earned more gold and more respect from her peers. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.  Instead of making her turn hard on crime, it has had a opposite effect on her and now she is more committed to working with the downtrodden. Motivation: She has money and likes to spend it. Talaturl:  Determination and Fate Chose Us Travok Talaturl, Male Hill Dwarf Description: Travok has a missing right arm, a wound from skirmish of goblins. He is well dressed, but even with his fine clothing he looks run-down. His auburn hair and beard is wavy and long. His skin is flawless and his blue eyes scan people very quickly.  Personality: He is irascible and easily irritated. He is submissive, is generally bored by everything, but will take part in whatever people ask of him. He is by nature obliging.   He zealously claims to worship Moradin, but secretly worships Abbathor, god of greed; the only evil member of the Dwarven of pantheon.   Travok would rather act than talk or think, he is dwarf of action, than words.    He only talks in whispers and constantly drinks honey mead.   Travok wears a lot of beautiful jewelry and sees insults as an artform.     History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. He was a friend to animals and a trickster. In his defense of animals, however he would do severe harm to people.  In a lot of ways, he feels animals are more trustworthy and noble than his fellow dwarves.   He would fight with hammer and became a recognized member of the dwarvish militia.   Travok is a master of setting up decoys and ambushes. Motivation: He is not mentally stable, and does not always behave rationally.   Travok is constantly trying to prove his worth to the world. Tokawarl: Ice Calls The Faithful Ones Duergath Tokawarl:  Male Hill Dwarf Description: What flesh remains visible is marred by burns. He dresses like a well dressed Miller does. His black hair is styled in orderly dreadlocks. His blue unseeing eyes seem to look past you. Personality: He resents people who mock his appearance or him, so he has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. The war was a terrible time for him, and Duergath does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.  He communicates with sign language.  He is a well known hero the war with the barbarian tribes.   He openly worships Dugmaren Brightmantle, god of scholarship, discovery, and invention.   He will always prioritize the needs of other people, his loyalty to his clan is without question.  Several initiatives in council have passed or fail by a simple look of his.   He holds respect throughout the all dwarves.    He constantly looks for the loophole in laws and figure out ways to close them.  The thought of criminals getting away with a crime is an upfront to his responsibilities.   He has made hobby out of gem-cutting.    He is always accompanied by his servants. History: He was born in a northern village, but his parents moved at a very young age to the southern lands. There was a wharf not far from home where he will often wander off to fish.   Una Klofnararl: Live great, die better  Helgret Una Klofnararl, Female  Mountain Dwarf Description: She is a woman of bearing and in fine health. She is well nourished and rubenesque, and wears light mail armor, that is faded through age and improper care. She keeps her red hair in a flapper bob. Her violet eyes have a joyful gleam in them most of the time. Personality: She loves justice and goodness and right action. Anyone who does not fulfill this criteria perfectly will no doubt get a lecture from her. She is the most sanctimonious self-righteous Dwarf in existence. Her philosophy is that everyone needs a friend and as such shows hospitality towards all.   He quietly worships Marthammor Duin, god of wanderers.   She is very direct and very conceited.    She highly concerned about poorer people.   She intermittently thinks aloud. History: Helgret lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Her mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual. Vayevafung: Live great, die better Uraim Vayevafung, Male Mountain Dwarf Personal[hide] Description: This dwarf is rather for a dwarf and  stands a little over 4'0" and is a bit bulky. He is very muscular particularly in the legs. He wears an entirely tan suit with black socks and a vest with buckled shoes. His head has been shaved. His eyes are green. Personality: He will rave to anyone who will listen. He takes great pride in his work and is very well organized. His planner is full of calendar events.   He openly worships Thard Harr, god of survival, hunting, and nature.   Uraim is very competitive and incredibly conceited.  He has a disdain of spellcasters.    He tends to lie intermittently. History: He got into the Tanner business at a young age. Uraim abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it. Oroford is a collection of gnomes and hill dwarves  It was first created to be a trade city that expanded during the war, then lost of its lands to the elves.    It is also one of the most highly fortified castles in Forena.   It stands as a defensive line against a possible uprising of the elves.    The Governor is a lifetime appointment. Gnomish Clans: Emegosha:   Haven of peace Veloptima Emegosha, Female Gnome Description: This  seemingly malnourished woman wears a fine suit in excellent condition.  Her outfit is made of the utmost finest of cloth and looks extremely It has not been laundered in sometime and has been worn in activities one would not normally wear a suit during. With wild chestnut hair. Her eyes are gray. Personality: Veloptima wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Druid, so she tries to act the part. She does a good job, for the most part... She is a logical person and will generally grow upset if things defy logic and science.He discretely worships Torm, God of duty, loyalty, obedience, paladins. (Lawful Good) He is a very good diplomat and always works towards resolution of conflict. He is very conceited. He has a story for everything. History: Born to a Banker, her father struggled to pay the bills. She dropped out of school to support her sick father, and resented it. She has dedicated herself to building a better village for her children.
