Launch freeze

I have tried to launch multiple games throughout the day, but they all freeze up while loading?  I'm running a game tonight and it's obviously a concern.  Is there a system problem or something on my end.  Everything else on my computer is running normally.

I'm having the exact same issue. I played a game last night and everything worked totally fine, but tonight I haven't been able to load anything and I'm not sure what happened since I haven't done any updates or changed any of my settings. Update - I just tried again this morning and everything loads right up. Still no idea what was going on last night, but it seems fixed for me at least.
I walked away while frozen and came back later to the game loaded.  I had a really big map that I did when brand new and somehow had that map selected.  I redid the size and then closed everything and seems to be working ok now.
Having similar issue
I feel your pain. I have double my prep time because of slow screen refresh time. I'd like to hear from a geek about the web itself. Has the 'stay-at-home' phenomonon intensifie d net traffic, for example? Is the slowness part of code-glut in the new release? Something has changed.

You may want to take a look at the "Updated Dynamic Lighting - Feedback Thread" thread at the top of this forum category.

I'm not experiencing the slow down as described. I do have issues with slow dice rolls on weekend evenings, but nothing while simply opening a sheet or game during prep time. Some things to look out for: Extremely large campaigns with hundreds of characters. Extremely large maps running Dynamic Lighting (any variety). If running AFoW or Explorer mode, check for characetrs with extremely long sight ranges, or if AFoW, make sure Global Illumination is not checked. If running Firefox (mostly), turn off Autofill and Autocomplete. All of the above are known performance killers. You can also try all of the standard triage I'm posting below the line. Could you please carefully work through these steps of our guide to  Solving Technical Issues ? Step 1: Make sure to use the right browser Please check if these issues persist when using both Chrome  and  Firefox. Step 2: Ensure that there are no extensions/addons interfering with Roll20 Please disable  all  add-ons/extensions. Step 3: Clear your cache If none of the above succeeds, please thoroughly work through  Step 4 .  (Don't forget the complete Console Log!)
