Seemlessly switching between multiple ingame token icons

So, one of the ways I am trying to improve atmosphere in my game is making pictures of primary characters that depicts various emotions and switching between them depending on context. Something like Super Robot Wars where the pictures of the characters in their text boxes change. However, as far as I can tell, there is no way to use a "set" of pictures for a token, and switch between them. As an example, something like this is what I was hoping to pull off ( http://puu.sh/9ujop/9bbdef4e8d.png , multiple facial expressions for one character), but either the functionality does not exist, or I cannot figure out how to utilize it Does this functionality exist? If so, how do I make use of it? If not, is it something being considered? If not, it should be. I think it could add a pretty cute quirk and would not likely be difficult to implement at all. Beyond simply changing facial expressions, horror games could get a lot out of being able to seamlessly and quickly change a token's appearance. The Thing, anyone? Hopefully this is something that already exists. If so, someone please tell me how to get the effect I want
You could make rollable tables for each character,

Nice, this appears to be exactly what I was looking for! It's a little hard to make out the facial expressions on the selectable thumbnails, but other than that this is perfect. Thank you both!
