Issue with compendium

Okay this is a weird one that just recently appeared or since the last time that I was on.  Basically when I click on something in the compendium something appears on the left part of the screen that I don't know how to get rid of.  Like I was looking at the fighter.  Then in a white box with black text fighter was there but I couldn't do anything about it.  It seemed to slow down the game.  There is a fix which is if you exit the game and come back in it won't be there but it is kind of annoying.  I don't know if this is somewhere else or not.

That sounds unfamiliar. Can you post a screen shot? Also, does the issue appear on both Chrome and Firefox, and have you tested without running any browser extensions?

I couldn't reproduce it.  Maybe it was a freak thing.  I was using chrome.  At the time I think that I had the extension where I could access google drive offline but I turn that off when I was looking for problems with chrome. If it happens again I will try to take a screen shot.
Hey I experienced it again but this time it was for the compendium with destructive wave while I was trying to drag it onto the character sheet.  It is that thing in the top left of the game.  I showed more of what I had on my computer just to show you that I didn't have things out in different windows.  Maybe there is something associated with the character sheet that I'm unaware of but it becomes useless after this happens until I go out of game and back in.

Is AdBlocker disabled for all R20 content? I haven't used it for a long time, and can't remember if the icon should be greyed out when it's disabled.
+1 had this same issue yesterday. Wouldn't drag a character out from the compendium, and started doing a click drag text selection instead. Character box was out on the map (and not closeable), but no token. Had to reload the game.
+1 Yes, I also have this issue too. It looks exactly like the screenshot above and it covers the floating menu bar in a very awkward manner. I am using Chrome. I started seeing it in the last month.
Oosh said: Is AdBlocker disabled for all R20 content? I haven't used it for a long time, and can't remember if the icon should be greyed out when it's disabled. Does it need to be disabled.  I have pro so there should be zero ads anyway.  At least I think I got the top one.
Same issue here. For the last week or so. It seems to happen after I've been in the game for a bit, and a refresh solves the problem, but it really grinds everything to a halt when I have to stop the game just to add an item to someone's sheet. Essentially, when attempting to drag and drop from the compendium, it instead just creates a 'tab' of sorts on the left hand side of the screen which is not moveable or clickable. Just a white box with the name of whatever I was attempting to drag and drop. As I said, a refresh fixes it easily enough, but certainly annoying.

I wonder if this is related tot he Chrome release that caused other issues (toward the beginning of the month). I haven't experienced it myself, though, and I use Chrome on two different platforms. I would suggest when this happens again, to capture a console log and to file a  Help Center Request . Instructions for the console log are in step 4 of the steps I'll post below (which are a pretty good suggestion for winnowing down the source of an issue). Could you please carefully work through these steps of our guide to  Solving Technical Issues ? Step 1: Make sure to use the right browser Please check if these issues persist when using both Chrome  and  Firefox. Step 2: Ensure that there are no extensions/addons interfering with Roll20 Please disable  all  add-ons/extensions. Step 3: Clear your cache If none of the above succeeds, please thoroughly work through  Step 4 .  (Don't forget the complete Console Log!) Thank you!
